That which places mindfulness close to the realm of wisdom is given the name of meditation. As it says in the Noble Two Truths Sutra: Although in the ultimate sense there is absolutely no thing, in the conventional sense one should still meditate on the path. And as it says in the Samadhiraja Sutra: You should believe in and understand it. Therefore, abiding is the same as the wisdom of meditation. The Blessed One also taught that by abiding, one knows reality as it is. To establish its manifest nature, it is said: The realm of pure space is of one taste with the meaning of meditation. In it, there are no five aggregates such as form, nor are there any of the eight collections of consciousness. Thus, space is ungraspable, unshowable, non-material, and without beginning or end. Similarly, the mind cannot be found when sought, is beyond objects, and the beginning, middle, and end are not seen. It is separate from the five aggregates such as form, and because it is unconditioned, it transcends the eight collections of consciousness. As it says in the Mother Sutra: Meditating on the Perfection of Wisdom is meditating on space. In space, there is no form, no feeling, no perception, no formation, no consciousness, and so on, up to no Buddha. And as it says in the Condensed Sutra: Forms are not seen, feelings are not seen, perceptions are not seen, and thoughts are not seen. In that which has no consciousness, mind, or intellect seen, the Thus-Gone One said, this is seeing the Dharma. Thus it is. Although the vow to prevent the arising of the four extremes is the view of the Prasangika Madhyamaka, if one blocks with the mind and says there is nothing, it is especially contradictory to wisdom. It is not nihilism, but the treasury of all bodies and wisdom. Thus it is said. Thus, if one blocks the extreme of existence, one cannot suddenly meditate on non-existence, because from the beginning it is naturally pure, therefore it is empty of aggregates and momentary destruction, therefore it is not permanent. Because it does not abide in an object, it is without characteristics. Because it arises and ceases in an instant, it is without aspiration, these are the three doors of liberation.
