For the seventh bhumi, it is impossible to abide uninterruptedly in the absence of characteristics, while the eighth bhumi possesses the excellent qualities of fully complete limbs that enable one to abide. Because all characteristics are understood as absence of characteristics, and the designation made with characteristics is not prohibited, it is mostly the perfection of skillful means. And it is connected with the spontaneously accomplished single path, and is extremely far from samsara, so it is called the far-gone. Because it is connected with the single path. It is considered a state of having gone far away. It is said. In the "Praise of Dharmadhatu", it says: Having crossed the mud-free place of the ocean of samsara, therefore it is called far-gone. It is said. The eighth bhumi, the immovable, is the first of the three pure bhumis of the Great Vehicle. From here, the five consciousnesses transform, so one has power over the pure buddha-fields. In the Ornament of Realization, it says: Because mind, grasping, and discrimination have transformed, therefore there is no discrimination, and the pure buddha-fields are purified from wisdom, and power is the place of the four aspects. It is said. Because in the state of the seventh bhumi, as long as it is spontaneously accomplished, one enters without characteristics, for those who cannot abide in equanimity, the eighth bhumi possesses the excellent qualities of fully complete limbs that have become capable. Because the good aspects of spontaneously abiding in the absence of characteristics are combined, it is mostly the perfection of aspiration. And the wisdom of non-discrimination transcends the characteristics of phenomena, and because it is not moved by effort, it is called the immovable. Because it is not moved by the two conceptions. It is considered the state of the immovable. It is said. The ninth bhumi, the good intelligence, is that the eighth bhumi, as long as there are distinctions such as various names and definitive terms, for those who cannot freely teach the Dharma in all aspects, in the state of the ninth bhumi, because one has obtained the wisdom of individual correct knowledge, one possesses the excellent qualities of fully complete limbs that are capable. Because it possesses the excellent qualities of the power of wisdom that has obtained the four individual correct knowledges, it is mostly the perfection of power. And because one is skilled in proclaiming the sound of the Dharma in all aspects from all places, and one has obtained the excellent qualities of faultless intelligence, it is called the good intelligence. Individual correct knowledge, good intelligence, that bhumi is the good intelligence.

Thus it is. The great one of the great ones, the tenth ground, the cloud of Dharma, is that in the state of the ninth ground, whatever Buddha-fields and assemblies of retinues, manifestations of emanations, and fully enjoying the Dharma, are unable to fully ripen sentient beings, the tenth ground attains the distinction of being able to do so, and its limbs are fully complete. Moreover, it is skilled in ripening sentient beings through many emanations, so it is mostly the perfection of wisdom. The two clouds of samadhi and dharani pervade the minds of those to be tamed, and rain down the Dharma in the boundless and limitless realms of the world, hence it is called the cloud of Dharma. Like the two clouds pervading the realm of space, hence it is called the cloud of Dharma. Thus it is. In that, the manner of performing activities such as raining down the Dharma is only similar to that of the Buddhas. This conduct of Bodhisattvas is the same as that of the Thus-gone Ones in subsequent attainment, and in truly liberating sentient beings, it is equal in the world. Thus it is. Even so, in the manner of both action and agent, if measured in terms of the qualities of the Thus-gone Ones, there is no equal example. Although it is so, what is the difference between a speck of dust, the water in a cow's hoofprint in the ocean, and the difference between a Buddha and a Bodhisattva is the same. Thus it is said. Also, in the first moment of the tenth ground, there is a subtle obscuration of knowledge, which is abandoned by the diamond-like samadhi of the uninterrupted path, and in the second moment, the path of liberation is perfected, so it goes to the Buddha-ground, which is solely the realm of Dharma, and possesses qualities such as always abiding in equality. Such a noble path has five distinct qualities: two of antidotes, one of abandonment, one of qualities, and one of holding the body. The two antidotes are in relation to abandoning the impurities of the ninth ground. The antidote of abandonment is the path of application and the uninterrupted path. The antidote of support is the path of liberation. The antidote of distance is the path of distinction. Also, the self-continuum that precedes the ground is what is to be abandoned by the actual ground, or an obstacle. Abandoning it is the path of application, and the seed of that impurity is the essence of the ground as it is first born.
