Power is so-called because it generates and destroys aspects that are incompatible with the faculties. As stated earlier: Generating in accordance with the aspects of liberation, exerting power through desire and union, not forgetting the object, and also distinguishing what is unfavorable. And as stated in the Ornament: Because the unfavorable aspects are weakened, these themselves are called power. Furthermore, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are to be known through the two truths. One believes with faith, rejoices with diligence, does not forget with mindfulness, focuses single-pointedly with samadhi, and meditates in the manner of knowing the nature with wisdom. Moreover, the four aspects of definite discrimination exist in twelve ways, differentiated by small, medium, and large. As stated in the Abhisamayalankara: Thus, the concordant aspects of definite discrimination are small, medium, and large. In sequence, they obtain the warmth of the Great Vehicle, the increase of appearance, entering into the one-sided appearance of phenomena, and the immediately preceding samadhi, which are the four aspects. The first is that when all phenomena are seen as mere appearances of the mind, and external objects are destroyed, the appearance of knowledge is slightly clear, which counteracts the grasping of things as real, and is therefore called warmth. As stated in the Ornament: Bodhisattvas who have become like this, in equipoise, without understanding the expressions of the mind, do not fully see all meanings. The second is that the appearance of knowledge becomes clearer than before, and one engages in firm diligence to increase the appearance of phenomena, and is therefore called the peak. For the sake of increasing the appearance of phenomena, one always exerts firm diligence. The third is that by entering into one aspect of suchness, the appearance of grasping external objects does not appear, and the appearance of knowledge arises. At that time, one abides in mind-only, and is therefore called forbearance. After the appearance of phenomena has increased, one will abide in mind-only. From then on, the appearance of all meanings will appear as mind. At that time, one will abandon the distraction of grasping. The fourth is that when the appearance of grasping and non-duality of knowledge are also destroyed, the worldly arising of meditation does not appear, and it is completely perfected, and is therefore called the supreme dharma. From then on, the appearance of grasping

It merely gathers scattered (thoughts). Thus it is said. From here onwards, the nature of wisdom, in terms of equipoise, is the emptiness of non-conceptual wisdom, and the subsequent attainment arising from that is the aspect of great compassion, with both conceptual and non-conceptual aspects as appropriate. Thus, this supreme Dharma is the Mahayana path of seeing, without any interruption from others, for at that time, without any obstacles, one quickly reaches samadhi. Thus it is said. Among them, the stages of heat and peak are small; they are the paths of joining where the time of the arising of the path of seeing is uncertain. The stage of patience is intermediate; it is the path of joining where the arising of the path of seeing is certain in the next life. The supreme Dharma is great; it is the path of joining where the path of seeing arises in this very life. In this state of relying on skillful means, the Bodhisattva, like a magician, because it is not inverted, the path that combines with transcendent wisdom, uniting skillful means and wisdom, and is merely a matter of very firm conviction. Because one does not directly realize the two selflessnesses, it is placed on the ground of conduct by faith. Although the Bodhisattva abiding on this path is an ordinary being, he possesses five special qualities, as explained in the Noble Jewel Garland Sutra: The distinctions of antidotes are the four antidotes of refuting, abandoning, relying, and prolonging; the distinctions of abandonment are the seeds of obscurations and manifest impairments, and being completely liberated from all the poverty of childhood; the distinction of realization is the realization of the two selflessnesses from the aspect of what is cultivated; the distinction of qualities is possessing many qualities such as samadhi, eyes, clairvoyance, and miracles; and the distinction of surpassing the path of accumulation is that, although it is similar to the stage of the great path of accumulation and what is cultivated, there is a difference in the proximity of the path of seeing and the stability or instability of the warmth of wisdom, as stated in the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verses: "If there is no obstacle, the path of seeing will arise very closely." This should be understood as their difference. Having attained the path of seeing, the two are united and inseparable. On the first ground, the Joyful One, one directly sees the true nature of reality. Thus it is said. Whenever the subsequent attainment of the supreme Dharma, at that time, relies on the body of any of the five realms of beings.
