For those great minds who are well-versed in the principle of arising from conditions, there is no contradiction or confusion, because they are proficient in words, meanings, intentions, and necessities, so they can well distinguish the principles of the scriptures, which is the second key to viewing the sutras and tantras. Now, in order to show the classification of the holy Dharma to be measured, from the perspective of the measured, the eighty-four thousand Dharma doors spoken by the Victorious One, all their meanings lie in the conventional and the ultimate, there is no third truth other than the two truths. In order to subdue the three afflictions possessed by the self-continuum in the realm of sentient beings, as the means of subduing, the holy Dharma has the Vinaya Pitaka, the Sutra Pitaka, and the Abhidhamma Pitaka, that is, the three pitakas; or from the perspective of realization and the three trainings, or from the perspective of definite and vast numbers, all the eighty-four thousand Dharma doors spoken rely on the conventional truth of appearance and the ultimate truth of reality, there is nothing that does not rely on these two, so the third is negated. As it is said in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son: "These two truths of worldly wise men, you did not hear from others, but saw for yourself. That is the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, there is no third truth whatsoever." The conventional truth has two ways of appearing. In the face of confused consciousness, no matter how much appears, whatever corresponds to the degree of appearance and can function is the true conventional truth, and what appears but does not function is called the false conventional truth. Among them, the nature of the eight consciousnesses in the sentient being's time, is the confused appearance, confused clinging, and confused consciousness generated by the conditioned conventional, these are all different. They appear in the form of deception and falsehood, untruth and change, confusion and suffering, and are nominally established from the perspective of concepts and consciousness, so they are very contradictory to the real meaning. Even so, for the appearance and consciousness of that time, it can be temporarily established as true and false, so it is called true conventional and false conventional. For example, corresponding to the degree of appearance and being able to function, arising from causes, and the common appearance being established, that is, the four great elements externally, and the internal consciousness and so on included, is the true conventional truth; what appears but cannot function is...

Like the moon in water, or a painter's chariot, this is considered a reversed conventional truth. In the two truths, it says: Although appearing similar, their functions differ, because of the ability and inability. Thus, a distinction is also made between correct and incorrect conventional truths. Both of these, if spoken of in words, appear as two, but if measured from their nature, they do not appear as different, because they are the same in arising from habits and illusions, and the same in appearing to their respective sense objects. For the time being, even the function that appears only in illusion, if it exists in the object of sight consciousness, then existence is the same, and non-existence is the same, so it is not established by its own nature. In particular, if the basis of distinction—the dharmadhatu—is taken as a reference, then at the time of attaining the wisdom of the noble ones, all mental cognitions and appearances with attachment to truth are reversed conventional truths, and all appearances and appearances without attachment to truth are correct conventional truths, and the basis of illusion and the mental cognition of illusion are liberated into the dharmadhatu, thereby realizing the state of no self-nature. As it says in the Tree Sutra: Just as in a perfectly pure mirror center, the moon of the face appears, O Tree, know all phenomena to be without self-nature in this way. The ultimate truth is the way of abiding of the nature, the dharmas of samsara and nirvana, the essence of non-duality, originally beyond thought and expression, realization and non-realization are not established by the mind. Among these, the ultimate truth is the nature of reality, naturally peaceful, without elaboration, beyond one and different, samsara and all dharmas are originally without essence, so they are not established by the minds of ordinary beings who have realized or not realized. In the Root Wisdom Treatise, it says: Not known from others, peaceful, not elaborated by elaborations, without conceptualization, without different meanings, this is its characteristic. If it cannot be established by the mind, then dividing the truths into two is also unreasonable, is it not a causeless result? If you doubt this, the Meditation Stages of the Noble Asanga says: These dharmas without essence, all arise from conceptualization, whatever is conceptualized is also empty, therefore emptiness is liberation. Just as when a great ocean is exhausted, there are no waves arising, so the various consciousnesses do not engage in unreal things. Therefore, the objects to be measured are measured
