Pages 500 to 601. Being wise, one sees that all dharmas follow bodhi. This clearly shows that all objects of focus are conditioned. Since this is so, the characteristic of dedication is also fully accomplished. The Perfection of Wisdom is liberated from the three times, the three realms, and good and evil themselves, so there is no dedication for it. As it says in the Tantra of Perfect Union: "The two parts of its sin and merit are discrimination. The wise should abandon these two." And so on, there is much extensive discussion. Therefore, when arising from that samadhi, one should view all worlds as illusion, mirage, dream, water moon, and optical illusion. Afterwards, with the knowledge gained, one should generate the mind in this way: "Alas! These sentient beings are afflicted by disturbing emotions and have not understood such profound dharmas, so they wander in samsara. How pitiful!" Thus, one manifests the conventional bodhicitta. Again, one should abide in the samadhi of the non-appearance of all dharmas, in the state of ultimate bodhicitta. When one is free from the faults of sinking and excitement, and the mind enters into equanimity, then one should relax effort and train in the equanimity of shamatha and vipashyana inseparably. If one makes effort in that, the mind will be distracted and excited. Also, if the radiance of knowledge diminishes and sinks, then one should recognize that there is no vipashyana, like a blind person, the mind enters into the darkness of a person, or like one who closes their eyes, the radiance of discriminating wisdom is completely absent. In order to dispel this fault, one should seek out that sinking and arouse it, and one should emit the radiance of the true wisdom that understands the meaning of knowable objects by its own nature, the non-conceptual wisdom. When one desires sharp investigation and analysis to be vipashyana, and the mind is distracted and excited like a monkey, if one mistakes it for discriminating wisdom, then it will contradict the emptiness and selflessness of all dharmas. Why? Because wisdom is a distinction of things, and if things are not established, then wisdom itself is not established. If a tree is not established, then a leaf is not established.

are all prevented. As stated by Paṇḍita Prajñāmokṣa in his commentary on Madhyamaka. If so, it contradicts what is said in the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra: 'Thus, in the realm of meditative absorption, the meaning of knowable objects is distinguished, and thoroughly distinguished, and completely conceived and completely analyzed, and endured, and desired, and differentiated, and viewed, and conceptualized, all of which is called vipaśyanā. Thus, a Bodhisattva is skilled in vipaśyanā.' If one thinks that way, these are not referring to the single vipaśyanā that, during meditative equipoise, sees the nature of all dharmas as non-dual wisdom, like the center of the sky. Rather, when the distinctions of knowable objects enter the realm of the knower, they are distinguished by knowing how many knowable objects there are. And when one's own nature is completely pure, the knowable objects do not enter the realm, and they are thoroughly distinguished by knowing them as they are. And by possessing the wisdom of hearing and thinking, one keeps in mind the words of the twelve divisions of scripture, and contemplates their meaning, grasping the characteristics with analysis. Whatever is complete conception and complete analysis itself is also said by the two ornaments of Jambudvipa, and the difference between conception and analysis is only that the former is coarse and the latter is subtle. Because they focus on moments and many parts, they are wisdom mixed with the eight aggregates of consciousness, conditioned, conventional, and self-existent. As it is also said in the Mañjuśrīvikurvāṇaparivarta Sūtra: 'Signs in meditation, and the flow of wisdom, are also the work of Māra.' And, 'O son of the gods, as much as there is conception, and discrimination, and complete conception, and seeing, and hearing, and differentiation, and as much as there is a place of consciousness, that much is the work of Māra.' Therefore, these are the ways in which śamatha and vipaśyanā initially take the wisdom of hearing and thinking as the path, as it is said in the noble Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra: 'Lord, how does one completely seek śamatha, and who is skilled in vipaśyanā?' The Buddha said: 'I establish the arrangement of dharmas in this way: the Sūtra division, the Geya division, the Vyākaraṇa division, the Gāthā
