Therefore, the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas is called accumulating virtuous dharmas. This is also the way to practice by examining the six minds. In the Compendium, it says: A Bodhisattva who diligently practices the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas should, in short, examine the six minds separately. What are the six? They are: the mind of contempt, the mind of laziness, the mind of obscuration, the mind of complete weariness from seeking, and the mind with interruptions. Thus, with a mind that is free from its respective discordant aspects, combining virtuous dharmas to mature one's own continuum, its nature has already been explained before. In particular, here, combining loving-kindness and great compassion, and mainly possessing the virtues of body and speech, therefore, accumulating the vast virtuous dharmas that are universally present in all uncommon virtuous dharmas is considered the nature of accumulating virtuous dharmas. However, as explained by the teacher Yönten Öd (Yon tan 'od, Gunaprabha), since meditation and wisdom reside within the six perfections, one generates the three wisdoms of hearing, thinking, and meditating. In order to gather the learning of the mind with the samadhi learning of calm abiding and the wisdom learning of insight, from the perspective of its own nature, in the Sutra Requested by Brahma's Special Mind, it says: Not thinking is generosity, not abiding is discipline, not distinguishing any difference is patience, without acceptance or rejection is diligence, without attachment is meditation, non-duality is wisdom. As it is said. Measuring from the aspect of activity of not being lax in serving the benefit of sentient beings, wherever one does the benefit of sentient beings is generosity, having no selfish motivation for this is discipline, no matter how diligently one strives for the benefit of others, one is not tired is patience, entering with joy is diligence, having one-pointed mind on this is meditation, not seeing these as real and as characteristics is wisdom. The mind of enlightenment, in a state of possessing all kinds of excellence, all virtuous dharmas gather into the nature of the six perfections, and all four modes of conduct are also gathered into the virtue of completely purifying the place of activity. In the Avatamsaka Sutra, it says: When a Bodhisattva enters a house, he thinks that all sentient beings may attain the city of liberation.
