If one wants to adjust, there is no possibility of conflict if it is allowed, so there is no cause for falling. Therefore, the way of not doing the actions that are accomplished by a beginner is as follows: Are the vows arising from body and speech tangible? The seeds of continuous renunciation, possessing attachment to truth. Without mastering through transformation and the means of carrying the path, even if one enters the Mahayana path and receives empowerment, one is not a Vajra Holder who has attained the transformation of state. Thus it is taught. So, what is the standard for acknowledging the transformation of state? Making the vows pure is cognition, making cognition pure is the yoga of the deity. If one becomes accustomed to the wisdom that purifies it, then the prescribed transgressions, whose nature is arising and ceasing, do not grasp at their own characteristics, and there is no gain or loss. Because its essence, which does not abide in contradiction in the beginning, middle, and end, is conventional truth, the transformation of state is accomplished. How it is accomplished will be explained in the context of the Mantrayana. Even so, both the basis and the intention are manifestly possessed. Possessing the three vows of practice through faith, if one abides, one guards the distinctions; if one guards, one guards against laxity. If one possesses, one possesses upwards; if one adjusts, one adjusts from one's own ground, because the deterioration is extracted like boiling water. Why prevent anything if it generates faults? Why allow if it generates virtue and qualities? Allowance and prohibition do not abide on the path of words, but are established in relation to the continuum of the individual. Therefore, most of those born in the degenerate age of five hundred are of little learning and do not possess the wisdom of thought, and are separated from the suchness of meditation, so they are accustomed to viewing things as real and are accompanied by conceptualizations of characteristics, so the basis abides in their own continuum, and even if it is grasped by an intention possessing great means and wisdom, it becomes merely faith, so although they claim to possess the three vows, they consider themselves monks, villagers, things, defilements, etc., and hold the Dharma as pure liberation, and combine superficial and great compassion, etc., with inconceivable wisdom. If it is rare for the qualities of the three vows to revert to suppressing the nature of upward possession, just as dying from poison without mantra is without fault, and one must emphasize actions related to time, so on the path of accumulation, with vows of misconduct, on the path of preparation, accumulating virtuous dharmas, and on the path of seeing, the scriptures also mainly practice the discipline of benefiting sentient beings.

Therefore, it is understood that recognizing the prophecy of transforming temporary actions and ultimate vows is great wisdom. Thus, in the stage of practice based on faith, these three vows, when abiding, abide separately; when guarding, guard loosely; when possessing, possess upwards; and when embellishing, one must embellish according to the self-tradition of each school, which is established in meaning. As stated in the "Pure Vehicle": 'Thus, the Pratimoksha is undertaken for as long as life lasts, because it is not said to be abandoned upon receiving mantras; the Bodhisattva vow is undertaken until the essence of enlightenment, because it is not said to have causes of decline or abandonment upon receiving mantras.' As such, for all three vows, one prevents and restrains the arising of faults and offenses, and there is no prevention of generating qualities. Therefore, it is important to distinguish the magnitude of the power of each precept and the differences between what is permitted and prohibited, both generally and specifically. As stated in the "Precious Garland": 'Generally, one should specifically prohibit; the treatises praise all.' Therefore, the objects of learning for the three vows are not mutually contradictory dharmas, nor do they abide in one place, like cleaning vessels and containing precious jewels, etc. They are not like examples of objects fabricated by conceptual thought. One should understand the manner in which they are established in connection with the continuum of the individual. In this way, having tamed the continuum with the discipline of vows, one learns the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas. With the six Paramitas and the two accumulations, one generates qualities that have not arisen, increases those that have arisen, and the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas is called being gathered by the learning of the mind. The virtuous deeds embraced by love and compassion are, wherever one accomplishes the benefit of sentient beings, generosity. Regarding this, the absence of self-interest is discipline; the absence of weariness for the sake of others is patience. Especially, entering with joy is diligence; focusing single-mindedly on the benefit of sentient beings is meditation; and abandoning attachment to entities and signs is wisdom. The six Paramitas are never separate. One possesses mindfulness and awareness in all four modes of conduct. The virtuous accumulations of a completely pure field of activity, even the lifting and placing of the feet, are the path of the six Paramitas. By entering effortlessly, the accumulation of merit is completed very quickly. Thus, all the dharmas that are the cause of Buddhahood are the six Paramitas, or their nature is entirely the two accumulations.
