Because upon seeing, one is always diligent in activities that abandon virtue and peace, as it says in "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "Associating with children leads to (increasing) negative actions, self-praise and disparaging others, and talk that delights in samsara, all kinds of non-virtue will certainly arise." Especially, those who are ungrateful do harm in return for kindness, and because they have various desires, there is no time to be satisfied, and it is difficult to subdue them whether they are enemies or friends. As it says in "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "In a single moment they become friends, and in an instant they become enemies again, they become angry at what is pleasing, so it is difficult to please ordinary beings." Similarly, because they delight in discord and sowing dissension, they do not maintain mindfulness, and they do not cling to harmonious assemblies, so the great wind of slander rises. Like monkeys, all actions become a cause of harm. If many gather, there will be fighting, competition, and quarrels, and even if two gather, they are the basis of idle talk and jokes. The Bhagavan said in the Sutra Pitaka: "Many will quarrel, two will engage in talk, like the bracelets of a young girl, one should abide in peace alone." The bracelets of a young girl are like this: for example, when a young woman is grinding sandalwood, she feels uncomfortable because many bracelets on her arm are clashing, so she gradually removes them, leaving only two, but even these two bracelets still clash, making her uncomfortable. When only one bracelet remains, she feels comfortable. Similarly, in a solitary place, one will quarrel with friends, and even two will become objects of affliction, so living alone is praised. This is what the teacher Danaśīla said. In particular, nowadays, sentient beings who live in the degenerate age of the five degenerations are afflicted by the demons of the five degenerations, so without cause, they harm others through the three doors of body, speech, and mind, slander the Dharma and the holy ones, and delight in dividing into factions, and even if they protect their own faction, they are not harmonious with them. In a letter to the king, it says: "The more kindness is given, the more harm is suffered, when one has it, one feels weary, and when one does not have it, one feels pain, when one is with them, one sees faults and quarrels arise, this is the nature of sentient beings." Furthermore, they are jealous of those who are unequal, and they have a mind to suppress those who are equal, they belittle those who are inferior, and those who are wealthy and praised and honored

Becoming arrogant when seeing a little, and angry when hearing a little about one's own faults. Enjoying killing, plundering, and hunting, the belly of sin is larger than a crocodile. Little meaning, much activity, very distracted, fond of commotion. Merely sinful and unwholesome, like a venomous snake, causing harm to everything encountered. Associating with them, being friends with them, and serving as companions also burn the trees of virtue like fire, naturally degenerating from the Dharma. As Shantideva said: If you speak helpfully, they become angry, and I also prevent helpful things. If you do not listen to those words, anger will cause you to fall into evil destinies. Jealousy towards the high, competition with the equal, arrogance towards the low, pride when praised, anger when unpleasant things are said, when will one be able to benefit children? Therefore, in relation to the noble ones, all beings with afflictions are said to be of the nature of children. Therefore, the nature of ordinary beings is difficult to please, and I cannot fulfill their desires, nor can I rely on them to achieve liberation and omniscience. So, until one's own goals are not accomplished, it is enough not to abandon sentient beings in one's mind. From the perspective of action, abandon all associated friends and go to the forest and solitary places to practice meditation. Because by doing that, I have not done things for myself, and I will not change for them, so stay far away from children. Like that. Then, in order to show the faults of objects: Objects are worse than poison, the ripening is rough. When used, there is a taste of pursuit, but not for one lifetime, but for all lifetimes, it cannot be cured by supreme secret mantras and medicine. If someone has not tamed the elephant of their mind, there is no illusion of deception greater than objects. As long as the aggregates of formations are placed on the shoulder, one should approach the peaceful forest highlands. That is, merely because of the manifest desire for objects, the six senses are stirred, and thereby bound by its iron fetters in the prison of samsara, causing virtuous actions to be wasted. Moreover, desires are like salt water, no matter how much they are used, they go to a place where there is no satisfaction. The fault of going there arises from relying on objects, as has been said before.
