The mind is without color and form, arising and ceasing in an instant, not staying for even a moment, so it is neither me nor other. Just as it is said. Similarly, here the causes and effects of harm are limitless, arising from oneself, like sound and echo. If oneself does not arise, there is no object of harm, so look at what your own past actions have summoned. If something called "I" does not exist from the beginning, then no cause or condition for clinging to others or others, and the anger and disputes that arise from it, will arise. Just as there is no echo without a noisy sound. Therefore, anger or disputes, etc., are interdependent. In particular, if one has not first created the cause of harm in a previous life or in the present, then others cannot inflict the fruit of harm. Therefore, one should know that in general, it is by relying on the existence of the self that the harm of others is produced, and in particular, it is by relying on one's own past karma that one becomes the object of harm. As it is said in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: "In the past, I have harmed sentient beings in this way, therefore, it is reasonable for sentient beings to harm me in this way." Like this, seeing that the responsibility for harm lies with oneself, one does not become angry at the attacks, insults, punishments, fault-finding, beatings, quarrels, seizure of property and power, and infliction of harm on body and life by others and others. Because this is the basis for the arising of all the qualities of the Great and Small Vehicles, one must practice patience. As it is said in the Śrīmālādevī Siṃhanāda Sūtra: "I will surely receive the retribution of past sins, and I will think of suffering in this way. The Four Truths, mindfulness, and right abandonment, the path of power and the limbs of enlightenment, all have patience as their basis, so what wise person would not cultivate patience?" Like this. In particular, in order to show how patience is accomplished from the causes of harm, if one examines, one will find that great harm is not bad but a great benefit. Because by relying on it, one can obtain the ship of patience and the jewel of bodhicitta. Therefore, one should worship such harm as one would worship the holy Dharma. Because without harm there would be no patience, the Bengali Pandit always associated with an acharya who was constantly angry, saying, "This is my craft."

As it is said, like the support of the past. Therefore, when our teacher, the Sage of Patience, appeared, the king argued and wandered in the forest with his consorts. The attendants of the consorts saw the sage and, with faith, listened to the Dharma, which angered the king, and he cut off the sage's limbs. The sage said: By the truth that I have no fault, may the blood turn into milk, and may the limbs be restored to their original state. After saying this, it happened as such. The king repented and prostrated. The sage further said: Because you cut off my limbs, when I become a Buddha, may your three poisons be cut off by the sword of my wisdom. Thus, and so on, by the fruit of the two accumulations, he became enlightened under the Bodhi tree, becoming a great guide who liberates beings. To repay harm with benefit is to worship harm as if it were the sacred Dharma. As it is said in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: Therefore, if one relies on intense hatred, then patience arises. Therefore, hatred is the cause of patience, so it should be revered like the sacred Dharma. In particular, if one's own good wishes have already been made, then the suffering caused by others' evil deeds, etc., will become the cause of renouncing samsara and generating great compassion, so one should also practice the asceticism of patience. As the teacher Shantideva said: Furthermore, the qualities of suffering are that they dispel pride with weariness, generate compassion for those in samsara, cause one to fear sin, and rejoice in virtue. Therefore, a Bodhisattva should eliminate the opposing factors to the three types of patience, namely, hatred, and the lack of enthusiasm thinking that one cannot practice, and the lack of faith in the path of patience, giving rise to a mind of indifference, etc., and especially should view the faults of anger with great fear. As it is said in the Jataka: The fire of anger makes the face wither, even if adorned with ornaments, it does not appear beautiful. Even if one lies on a fine bed, the mind is tormented by the sting of anger, causing suffering. One forgets the accomplishment of what benefits oneself, driven by anger, one goes to the evil path, fame and accomplishment decline. As it is said in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: The merit of generosity and the worship of the Sugatas accumulated over thousands of kalpas
