It is the time of death. After the body is destroyed, one will also be reborn in the world of good realms and high heavens. So it is said. These are also instructions for beginners on how to primarily cultivate patience to prevent anger. If the mind is extremely rigid, it is due to hatred. The manifestation of sin, with dark vines. Those who fear falling into inescapable hell, should never give anger a chance. Like a poisonous snake, the mind stream is stiffened by hatred, and such sin will cause sentient beings to experience the extremely dark hell. Those who fear the result of that karma should train in the method of completely cutting off the opportunity for anger, and apply themselves to the asceticism of patience. As asked by the daughter Good Wisdom: Do not increase the root of harm, anger. Abide in loving-kindness, desire the Dharma. And as stated in the "Entering the Path of the Bodhisattva": There is no sin greater than hatred, no asceticism more difficult than patience. Therefore, one should diligently meditate on patience in various ways. Thus, if one examines and analyzes the object of harm, then the harmer himself is also controlled by the demon of afflictions and is not autonomous. Chandrakirti said: Here, sentient beings are not the fault, but afflictions are the fault. If analyzed in this way, wise people will not be angry with sentient beings. In particular, if one examines the nature of harm, one cannot achieve patience, so one must tame one's own mind. The object of harm is like thorns in the forest, which cannot be completely subdued and will continue to grow. If one subdues one maker of resentment and anger, the asceticism of patience will become my friend. So it is said. That is, if one has the ability to completely prevent anger in one's own mind, one does not need to rely on the untamed mind of others, because the perfection of patience is perfected only by the absence of anger in one's own mind. As stated in the "Entering the Path of the Bodhisattva": Sentient beings are untamed like the sky, and it is impossible to completely destroy them. If one destroys one angry mind, it is like destroying all enemies. And, just as it is impossible to cover the entire earth with leather, but covering it with the leather of the soles of shoes is the same as covering everything.

Yes. If patience is thus accomplished, then for roots, leaves, sprouts, flowers, wind-food, etc., coarse foods, and leftovers, etc., there is no need for body and mind to endure suffering, and this is the supreme patience, the principle of difficult asceticism. As it says in the "Letter to a Friend": "Like patience, there is no equal asceticism, therefore, you should not open the door of anger. The Buddha said that abandoning anger obtains the state of non-retrogression." It is like that. The reason why all harmful circumstances arise is due to relying on one's own conceptual mind as the proximate cause. Can the arrow of extremely harsh words pierce the heart of a person? By accepting it as the proximate cause, they mutually become the dependent and the depended upon, and quarrel and torment each other. Like this, the cause of the increase of anger is harsh words, etc. Even if one experiences feelings of hatred like the heart is splitting, that is a weapon of words without substance, so no one has pierced the heart or caused harm. Because the proximate cause of the formless mind and mental factors, mutually become the harmer and the harmed, gathering like the dependent and the depended upon, one should know the nature of quarreling and tormenting, and not speculate on the nature of harm, this is the greatest antidote, and its power is stable. However, for those that become antidotes through speculation, one should also practice the sharp weapons of scripture and reasoning explained in the "Entering the Path of Enlightenment" and the "Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds." Here, as it says in the "Ganga's Questions Sutra": A son or daughter of good family should rely on and practice the Dharma of accomplishing patience. If, while walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, someone comes holding a urinal, a poison pot, ashes, and excrement, and pours it on your head, or if your whole body is burned, do not generate thoughts of anger and resentment towards them, and do not say, "What fault do I have?" Apply this to everything in the same way. Whatever is touched, wherever it is touched, does it harm the body or harm the mind? The body is like grass, wood, walls, and images, because it has no conceptualization and no awareness, so it is neither me nor other. If it harms the mind
