These are known as the six doors of practice. As it says in the Great Compassion Sutra: The power of offering to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is as great as it is, and it depends on how pure the mind is. Ananda, if you say prostrations to the Buddha, Ananda, the meaning of that word is like this: The sound of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is not meaningless. If someone says prostrations to the Buddha, it will not be meaningless. Even the smallest root of virtue created for the Tathagatas will not be wasted. Even creating a single thought of pure mind, all of that will eventually lead to liberation. Therefore, there is a scripture that represents everything, but the burden of the letters is heavy. The power of restoration is: From now on, even if it costs your life, you must vow not to do anything that will turn into sin and downfall. In general, for those downfalls, one must also understand the difference in fundamental downfalls based on the difference in the object. For example, harming sentient beings due to anger, and harming the sacred Dharma due to ignorance, both of these are great fundamental downfalls. Other than that, attachment and hatred, etc., are small fundamental downfalls. In any case, one should please with the four opponent powers and the seven-branch offering and confess like this: If the object of confession is actually present, then, Bodhisattva Mahasattva, please listen. I, named so-and-so, have committed this and that downfall, so for the sake of all sentient beings, please purify it through confession. Saying this three times, the object of confession will say: Do you see those sinful downfalls as sinful downfalls? Will you guard them well in the future? In response, say: Yes, I see them as sinful downfalls. I will guard them. It is said in the Bodhisattvabhumi that saying this will free you from sin. If the object is not actually present, then: Those who dwell in all directions, Perfect Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Possessing great compassion, With palms joined, I pray. From beginningless samsara, In this life or in other lives, The sins I have unknowingly committed, Or caused others to commit, Or being overwhelmed by the delusion of ignorance, Whatever I have rejoiced in, Having seen all those faults, With heartfelt intention, I confess to the protector.

I confess to the Three Jewels, parents, or other teachers, whatever harm I have done through the gates of affliction with body, speech, and mind, whatever sins of mine are stained by many faults, whatever extremely unpleasant things I have done, I confess all of them to those who lead. Before my sins are purified, I will surely die first. How can I be liberated from this? Please quickly protect me. Thus confessing, one arises from the downfall. In general, whether it is a root downfall or a branch downfall, in short, everything that has not been remedied due to forgetfulness and lack of awareness, in the presence of the Three Jewels, during the day and night, reciting the Three Heaps Sutra three times, remembering the Buddha and the mind of enlightenment, will restore it. As it is said in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: Three times during the day and night, one should recite the Three Heaps Sutra, relying on the Victorious One and the mind of enlightenment, it will pacify the remaining downfalls. Like that. Therefore, if one is afraid of the faults of decline and becomes timid, thinking that I cannot do it, and then gives up effort, one should abandon it. One should raise one's mind like a crow encountering a dead snake carcass, being arrogant in the sky like a Garuda, and by practicing to strengthen the vows of learning, one will attain not being defeated by downfalls. As it is said in that very text: If a crow encounters a dead snake, it behaves like a Garuda. If one is weak, even small downfalls can harm. Is there any liberation from poverty for the timid and those who abandon effort? By generating arrogance and effort, even the great ones are difficult to subdue. Therefore, with a steadfast mind, destroy all downfalls, if I am defeated by downfalls, the desire to conquer the three realms becomes a laughingstock. I shall conquer all, no one shall conquer me. Like that. Thus, the mind of enlightenment of the Madhyamaka school, which can plant the seeds of Buddhahood in the minds of many sentient beings and bestow great benefits, is vast in its scope, so even ordinary individuals who rely on the side of householders can generate the mind of enlightenment and be suitable as a basis for the vows of a Bodhisattva, this is shown by the example of a Kalaviṅka chick called Mañjuśrī making a sound from within the egg.
