Objects: Sweat cloth, face cloth, pus cloth, anti-itch cloth, razor, cushion, summer coarse cloth clothes, etc. The materials for these should be neither too bad nor too good, but seven suitable types: wool Shanniao, cotton cloth and Zama, Kotamba and Dukula, the materials for Dharma robes are of seven kinds. The aforementioned cushions should not have overly long wool or excessively ornate tassels. Furthermore, they should not be dyed with eight unsuitable colors: madder, Ligeng juice and indigo, medicinal tree juice and indigo blue, vermillion, sindhura and saffron; these are considered the eight major colors. Suitable are three: blue, madder, and turmeric juice. These, clothes that have not been cut with scissors should not be worn. Therefore, those that should be cut and sewn should be cut and sewn, and if there are no conditions, they should be patched. However, for flat cloths, according to the dimensions of narrowness, width, and length, it is permissible to touch them with scissors. Living utensils These should also each possess their own characteristics, and be blessed by their own names. If there are no actual three Dharma robes, then bless the material. For the blessing of actual materials, for types that are not attached, bless them according to conditions. The necessity is: in reality, avoiding the faults of holding and abandoning, not mixing with prejudice, and through indirect means, generating the benefit of detachment from attachment to objects. If there are extra utensils, the second patched robe, suitable coarse cloth clothes are for the abbot, unsuitable is relying on the patron to hold them, or blessing them with other names. The way of holding is: from the perspective of thought, just as the body has wounds, and the clothes are wrapped around to cover the wounds, there should be an awareness of caution, especially the patched robe, it is to transcend the signs of novice monks and below, to follow the biography of the teacher, and to hold it for the sake of awakening the memory of asceticism. Thus, the saffron banner given by the teacher, when it can no longer be repaired with patches etc., in order to increase the merit of the donor, it is mixed with soil and heavy objects etc., and applied to the yellow parts of temples and stupas. The basis of leather is: Katyayana's disciple Star-born twenty koti

In order to view the monastic robes, a stonemason from the border region came and requested, and the Buddha granted permission. This rule is related to special circumstances, so in order to protect dwellings in the central region, only leather shoes are allowed, and in non-monastery houses, if there is no cushion, only sitting on leather is allowed, and lying down is not allowed. However, in the border region, both shoes and bedding are allowed to protect against the cold. However, fancy shoes, those with gold and silver decorations, leather shoes that make noise, and leather from elephants, tigers, leopards, horses, donkeys, etc., are not allowed to be carried because they are ornaments. However, just as leather clothing is allowed in the Asmapatanta region, hats and boots are also allowed in places where water freezes. The basis for medicine is: when the Buddha was staying in Shravasti, the monks became emaciated due to autumn diseases, and the Buddha allowed them to take medicine. There are detailed classifications of what is suitable for the time, suitable for the dose, seven-day medicine, and holding for life. In terms of meaning, the main permission is for medicines that can eliminate aggregated diseases, which can be enjoyed after being blessed, and there is no other use. Therefore, permission is given to build a dispensary in the place where medicines are placed, where raw cooking, oil refining, etc. can be done, hence it is called a dispensary. The sutra says: In a suitable place, what is cooked and stored after being blessed is no different from the outside. Therefore, there are four ways to bless a dispensary: first, laying bricks; second, the entire process from the beginning of construction to the final completion; third, praying and blessing after completion; and fourth, performing blessings for emergencies. The latter two also apply to converting old houses into dispensaries. The basis of the dwelling is: in Varanasi, the householder Good Protector asked the Buddha to build a monastery, and the Buddha granted permission. It is said therein: A monastery should be built. A clean room should be built in the center of one side. There should be a gatehouse in front of it. A square shape is best. And so on, as well as the manner of asking Vajrapani at the door after construction, asking about the five-part wheel in the gatehouse, etc., and that the monastery should not be abandoned. Thus it is said.
