I established the precepts in Shravasti. Experiencing pleasure and semen emission from a place other than the three places for sexual intercourse, from one's own or another's limbs. Second, is the remainder of touching. The topic is the same. Because one desires to touch a woman with lust, the pleasure that arises from touching her body or parts such as her hair without any intervening barrier. Third, is sexual language. The topic is the same, speaking explicit sexual language with lust to a woman who understands the meaning, that is what it means. Fourth, is flattery and praise, the topic is the same. In order to engage in sexual intercourse with a woman, among flatteries, saying "Serving me and desire is the best," whether one says it oneself, or accepts it after the other person says it, as long as they understand each other. Fifth, is matchmaking. In Shravasti, precepts were established for the group of six monks. Men and women other than oneself can engage in intercourse, because they want to touch each other, so one's self or an appointed person acts as a matchmaker through three means, causing the two to meet and the sense organs to unite. Sixth, is the remainder of the house. When the Buddha was residing in Kaushambi, he established these two precepts (referring to the sixth and seventh) for the group of six monks. Like this, on land with many beings and disputes, and in a place with disasters, without obtaining permission from the Sangha, using items obtained through effort from others, wanting to build a house for oneself. Moreover, the house being built should not exceed eighteen cubits in length and eleven and a half cubits in width, whether one builds it oneself or appoints others to build it, it must be completely enclosed and roofed. Seventh, is the large house. It is built for the purpose of accommodating four or more people. The land has many beings, etc., everything else is the same as before. The difference is that what is obtained through effort from others, and exceeding the dimensions, does not need to be a branch. Eighth, is unfounded accusation. Both this and the following (ninth) were established in Rajagriha for friends and those born from the earth. The object is another monk who behaves like a celibate. Without seeing, hearing, or suspecting these three bases, accusing with any of the four defeats, uttering the words of accusation, and the object understands. Ninth, is slight accusation. The object is a monk.

Because there are slight faults, to slander with the implication of words, in a way of defeat, that is what it means. Tenth, dividing the Sangha: headed by Devadatta, gathered in Rajgir, agreeing with the assembly, the monks regard the Sangha to be divided other than themselves as two illegal actions, thus dividing each other. Moreover, the remaining part of this division and the category of the five heinous crimes are different. The five heinous crimes must rely on one hundred thousand Sanghas, just like Devadatta divided the wheel of the Sangha. For the remaining part, even if the Sangha cannot be divided, it is enough as long as one participates in the act of division and does not abandon the end of the five preventing actions. That is, if each of the initial four gross offenses, and the end of the third statement are not abandoned, that is the true situation of the remaining part. Eleventh, following the division: in Rajgir, headed by Devadatta's friends, the four monks Kokalika etc., keeping in mind and action consistent with those monks who participated in the division of the Sangha, and not abandoning the end of the five preventing actions. Twelfth, discrediting lay people: in Shravasti, headed by Nabso and Xing Su, through evil behaviors that violate the precepts, such as playing and having fun with women, eating and drinking, causing lay people to feel disgusted, leading to distrust, and even expelling them from their residences. Even the expellers also participated in accusing the expelling Sangha with slanderous words of the four places where one should not go, and did not abandon the end of the five preventing actions. Thirteenth, unpleasant command: in Kaushambi, headed by desire, when advising the monk who remembered the island and became attached to it due to the occurrence of depravity to remedy it for the sake of the Sangha, saying, "Whether you are good or bad, do not say anything to us," thereby participating in the basis of unpleasantness, and not abandoning the end of the fifth preventing action. These five preventing actions are: intimidation, the Sangha's request, and related to the three acts of statement. Thirty expiable offenses: For any offense that has occurred, if it is not remedied by means of abandonment, making it pure, then its maturation will lead to falling into the lower realms, therefore it is called expiable offense. This is also to indicate the good path.
