Like this, in all lifetimes, one will obtain inexhaustible enjoyment. Therefore, regarding learning the noble giving, temporarily make it the object of aspiration, and with a vast mind of generosity towards the body and all possessions, combine it with the mind of enlightenment and make aspirations. This is the root and supreme of all giving. As it is said in the Compendium of Perfections: "The root of such giving is the mind of enlightenment, such giving is wanting to give but not giving. Among those in the world who have the mind of giving, the Victorious Ones say that it is the most supreme among giving." As it is said. Second, the perfection of discipline: The nature of discipline is different vows. The classifications are the vow of abstaining from evil deeds, the vow of gathering virtuous dharmas, and the vow of benefiting sentient beings. Guarding the three doors from non-virtuous actions is the vow of abstaining from evil deeds, possessing the six perfections is the vow of gathering virtuous dharmas, and benefiting others is the vow of benefiting sentient beings. Among these, for all the non-virtuous aspects that should be abandoned by the three doors, completely protect, and for the root of harming others, generate and stabilize the mind of abandoning. This is the nature of discipline. The classifications are three: the vow of abstaining from evil deeds, the vow of gathering virtuous dharmas, and the vow of benefiting sentient beings. Among these, the first is: from the aspect of motivation, abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions; from the aspect of self-nature, abandoning the seven actions of body and speech. In the commentary on the Entering [the Bodhisattva's Way of Life]: "Therefore, in order not to accept afflictions, in order not to arise sins, with the coolness of pacifying the fire of the mind, or because it is the cause of happiness, therefore it is the discipline that should be relied upon by the holy ones, and this is also the discipline that has the characteristics of abandoning seven [sins]. Not being attached to the three Dharma robes, not having hatred, and having right view are the factors that motivate these. Therefore, from the aspect of discipline that has motivating factors, the ten paths of action have been explained in detail." That is to say, in the Bodhisattva Grounds, the Pratimoksha vows are divided into seven types. Therefore, if a Bodhisattva with Pratimoksha vows abides in the Bodhisattva vows, then whether a householder or a renunciate, they should hold the Pratimoksha vows.

The actual discipline and the common abandonment with it are the discipline of morality. If one is the basis of the Bodhisattva vows, which cannot be the basis of individual liberation vows, then the abandonment of whatever is blameworthy, both prescribed and natural, that is common with individual liberation, is the discipline of morality. Second, accumulating virtuous dharmas is: practicing with the four characteristics that the virtuous trainings such as the six perfections possess. As it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: Generosity diminishes the unfavorable, Possesses non-conceptual wisdom, Completely fulfills all desires, Matures sentient beings into three aspects. Similarly, the remaining five, such as morality, also have these four characteristics spoken of: being separated from their respective unfavorable aspects, the three friend-companions being seized by non-conceptual wisdom, the activity being to completely fulfill the desires of others, and the result of that being to mature disciples into the three enlightenments. The unfavorable aspects are as before: Stinginess, immoral conduct, anger, laziness, distraction, and bad wisdom, these six. Similarly, the activity is also: generosity benefits others, morality makes the mind agreeable, etc., accomplishing the benefit of others in all ways, as before: Generosity, etc., makes the mind agreeable with wealth, Endures harm from others and strives to help friends, Miraculous powers distinguish what to take and leave, Completely fulfills the desires of others. In general, the meaning of the word "Pāramitā" is also: going beyond all the virtues of worldly beings and Hearers and Solitary Realizers, therefore, from the word "pāra" (Sanskrit, 彼岸), comes "ཕ་རོལ" (Tibetan, beyond), "mita" (Sanskrit, 已到达), "ཕྱིན་པ་" (Tibetan, arrived), so it is "ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་" (Tibetan, arrived at the other shore). Even so, the Prajñāpāramitā can be established in meaning, but cannot be explained, because the other shore is the realm of the Buddha, and arriving is the wisdom that thoroughly distinguishes all dharmas, the wisdom that has reached beyond samsara and nirvana, so (Tibetan, Direction Elephant) says: Wisdom Pāramitā is non-dual, That wisdom is the Tathāgata, By the combination that accomplishes that meaning, Measure the scriptures and the path with that name. Like that, each of the six perfections can also be divided into six sets of six ways, as it says in the Ornament of Realization: Those each generosity, etc., By being gathered into six ways, Whatever is the armor's practice, With six sets of six as
