The greater the power of the mind, the faster the liberation, so one should don the armor of courage. In this regard, one should think like this: the initial practitioner is accustomed to clinging to the self, and one should abandon the despondency of not wanting to be born in such a way, accompanied by afflictions. Why? Because contemplating the aggregates of decay is said to be the lineage of the Tathagata, and the way in which the mind of enlightenment arises depends on clinging to the self. In the Questions of Light Protector it says: For example, from muddy water with manure, a lotus grows, but never from dry land. Likewise, in beings with afflictions and wrong views, the victorious dharmas of the sons of the conquerors arise. And in the Precious Garland it says: As long as there is grasping at the aggregates, there is grasping at self. From grasping at self, karma arises, and from karma, rebirth arises. Therefore, clinging to self and afflictions, when grasped by skillful means, are the cause of the arising of qualities, and this is a characteristic of the Great Vehicle. In general, the reason for speaking about the distinction of mental strength here is that in the path of discipline and mantra, one cannot listen to the precepts unless one has first taken vows. But the path of the Bodhisattva is that one should first understand the precepts well, and then, when one believes and is able to practice, one should take the precepts correctly, as it is said in the Bodhisattva Grounds. Therefore, in order for the conduct of entering here to have great practice with the distinction of mental strength increasing more and more, in the Collected Sutras it says: Bodhisattvas who have the practice of the six perfections and so on, go by the miraculous power of the Tathagata. It is praised that there is nothing faster than going by the miraculous power of the Tathagata. Apart from the six perfections and the ten grounds, there is no other path for Bodhisattvas to enter very quickly. The Sutra Pitaka also says: In this way, the continuum of the mind will gradually be cleansed like wiping away dirt. It is said with scriptural support. Therefore, by being skilled in means, having great courage, and the self-fruit of aspiration manifesting, one can make the object of focus for the benefit of others vast, make it meaningful by accomplishing higher realms and definite goodness, make it free from confusion by transcending the world, and increase virtue.

It is inexhaustible. The Ornament Sutra says: "Vast and without impurity, significant and inexhaustible, all of giving and so on, these four qualities should be known." Having said this, like a boatman and a guardian, after generating mental strength, one should train in the great conduct of the bodhisattvas, such as the six or ten perfections and the four ways of gathering disciples, in order to simultaneously enter the city of all-knowing wisdom, which is suchness, or the nature of prajnaparamita, gradually entering the stage of the Tathagata from the first ground. Why? Because the bodhisattva's precepts must be properly guarded, directly or indirectly promising to benefit sentient beings, bearing the burden of downfalls, and slowly walking the path of evil destinies is to be struck by the demon of ignorance and unknowing. As it is said: "The supreme bodhisattvas who carry the great burden of sentient beings on their heads do not walk slowly, because they are tightly bound by various bonds of self and others, so they should act with a hundredfold diligence." As it is said. In this regard, our teacher, in order to perfect the great conduct of the bodhisattvas, went through countless three great asamkhyeya kalpas, and whatever end of karma is undertaken, it must be related to the perfect basis for accomplishing it. Since sentient beings do not possess wisdom, they think that this basis of higher realms is the power of past good deeds, and from then on they do not strive to create its cause. The more perfect it is, the more it becomes the cause of increasing afflictions and sins, so the fruits of past accumulated virtues are exhausted like the rations of a long-distance traveler. They do not strive to increase new virtues, so they do not care at all about the future state of going from bad to worse, which is a cause for great sorrow. Those who know such faults and are able to use discrimination should not be swayed by perfection, afflictions, and inverted actions, but should rely on and habituate themselves to the path of the six perfections, such as giving, in every way and at all times. In the Ornament of Sutras it says: "Enjoyment and body are perfect, and the flourishing of retinues is perfect for higher realms."
