It seems to arise from the position of considering the Tathāgatagarbha as interpretable and not interpretable. Here, for a while, the teacher Śāntarakṣita explained the Tathāgatagarbha as an interpretable meaning. If the view of the Uttaratantra is turned to the view that the basis is emptiness and the purpose is to abandon the five faults, then it is suitable for those who analyze knowledge related to the eight consciousnesses with sharp intelligence and admit that the discourse of the irreversible wheel of Dharma is an interpretable meaning. Because, its view is that the nature of reality is free from elaboration, and the necessity in the Uttaratantra is: To eliminate the five faults of being timid, despising inferior beings, holding wrong views, slandering the true Dharma, and excessive attachment to self, therefore, it is said for the purpose of eliminating these faults. Moreover, in order to correct the attachment to an external self, relying solely on the statement that the Buddha's body, adorned with the thirty-two marks, exists as permanent, constant, and unchanging in the continuum of beings, in order to avoid confusion with the self of the non-Buddhists, therefore, in the Nirvāṇa Sutra it says: Therefore, all sentient beings have unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment in the future, therefore it is called the Tathāgatagarbha. All sentient beings now have all kinds of afflictions, therefore there are no thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks. These are established for the trainees of the intermediate turning of the wheel, who do not rely on the later turning of the wheel and can discern the meaning of the three doors of liberation by their own power. And, it is believed that the trainees of the later turning of the wheel cannot discern in that way, but rely on the later turning of the wheel to seek the meaning of the intermediate turning of the wheel, and distinguish the sharpness and dullness of the faculties of the former and latter. However, that distinction is not correct, how can it be proven that all the trainees of the later turning of the wheel are dull-witted? The Collected Sutras also praised: The Bodhisattvas who practice and possess the six perfections are those who go by the miraculous power of the Tathāgata, there is nothing faster than that. And, in the Brahma's Request Sutra it says: It cannot be said that only the dull-witted should practice, the sharp-witted should not practice.

Thus, the practices of generosity and so on of the Bodhisattvas abiding from the first bhumi to the tenth bhumi will arise, but it is not the case that they do not practice the remaining ones at all. This is clear. Moreover, in the first turning of the wheel, it was shown that all dharmas such as the skandhas are truly established, thereby teaching the selflessness of the person; in the second turning of the wheel, it was shown that all dharmas are not truly established, thereby teaching the selflessness of dharmas; in the third turning of the wheel, the difference between the imputed being not established, and the dependent arising and the perfectly established being truly established was distinguished and taught. Among these three turnings of the wheel, both the Great Vehicle traditions agree that the first turning is provisional, while for the latter two turnings, the Mind-Only school considers the last turning to be definitive, and the Madhyamaka school considers the middle turning to be definitive. Therefore, here, for the time being, the tenets of the causal vehicle's philosophical system should be kept as they are. As it is said in the Sutra of the Moon Lamp: "The realm of the world is pure, whatever sutras I have spoken, the syllables are different but the meaning is the same, it is not possible to express everything. If one becomes accustomed to one syllable, then one will become accustomed to all of them." And as it is said in the Sutra of No Arising: "If one does not fully understand the nature of dharmas, one will not attain enlightenment through the bonds of words." Therefore, although the meaning of the definitive sutras and the great meaning of yoga, which is beyond words and thoughts, is not exhausted by the terminology of the path stage, in order to guide inferior ordinary beings, it is necessary to rely on gradual guidance, therefore, whatever the intention of what is said, it should be understood from the point of view of meaning as being able to be summarized without contradiction. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "What is called much learning is being skilled in meaning, not being skilled in words." Therefore, the philosophical system that is explained only from the point of view of terminology is like a picture drawn by a mental painter. The difference in taking birth is that from the second bhumi to the tenth bhumi, one can successively take birth as: a wheel-turning king of the four continents, Indra, Shanti Deva, Tushita, Nirmāṇarati, Paranirmita-vaśavartin, and from the third bhumi onwards, the lord of the first thousand worlds, Brahma, the lord of the second intermediate thousand worlds, Great Brahma, and the lord of the third great thousand worlds, the emanation of the son of the god Great Isvara. Able to hold the ten bhumis
