It is said that the light of correct knowledge that does not depend on a lama, like the fire of non-conceptual wisdom, burns the firewood of thought and discrimination, and knows its own nature as it is. As explained in the Madhyamaka instructions of glorious Dipamkara (Atisha): Not grasping anything is because it is free from the discrimination of grasping and being grasped. Abandoning all mindfulness and attention is abandoning the discrimination that focuses on the past and the future. Thus, it has already been explained that the wisdom of individual discrimination with attention is held as the function of reality and prevented. Furthermore, from the aspect of the entry of great compassion and the continuous activity, it is not that there is no self-arisen wisdom. However, from the aspect of being free from the elaboration of the established tenets of knowable and knowing, both great chariots (Nagarjuna and Asanga) do not accept non-conceptual wisdom either. The Pandit of Bengal said: The teacher, the noble Asanga, does not truly accept non-dual wisdom, nor does he accept obtaining after non-conceptual wisdom, because he has attained the power of the three grounds and has understood that all dharmas are unborn. Thus, his doctrine is undoubtedly Madhyamaka. Similarly, those who do not know the truth of the two truths because they have been attached to things since beginningless time say: If you become like a Madhyamika, then the Buddhas, who have become Bodhisattvas for countless eons, performing countless difficult deeds and accumulating countless merit, will become meaningless, and there will be no Dharma and Sangha. Since there is no one to liberate beings from samsara, that sinful view should be put off indefinitely. This is the hail of the white Dharma crop, and the nihilistic outsiders rejoice in it, so such views should be hidden and kept secret. The Madhyamika said: You have not studied wisdom and are a fool. Those who slander the treatises of the noble Nagarjuna, who was repeatedly prophesied in the Mahamegha Sutra, the Lankavatara Sutra, the Drum Sound Chapter, and the great Manjushri Root Tantra, are destroying themselves. His doctrine makes the Buddhas become the Dharmakaya, and his wisdom...

Having abandoned all conceptual thoughts, I have become one with the Dharmadhatu. Therefore, since there is no Dharmadhatu, wisdom, object, or subject, what is this so-called non-conceptual wisdom like? The teacher also said: "Because the past does not exist, therefore the future also does not exist. Because the place has completely changed, where does the present occurrence reside?" And, "Equal abiding and non-abiding, where do all these not exist? Having abandoned existence and non-existence, it is taught as union." Thus, it is said that non-conceptual wisdom is not accepted. At that time, since there is no non-conceptual wisdom, all elaborations are pacified. What kind of subsequent wisdom would there be? It does not exist. It is also said: "Then, does the Buddha not possess body, wisdom, qualities, and activities?" It is said: With three causes and one condition, it appears to the trainees. Due to the appearance of the trainees, the body also appears in various ways. Wisdom is also the great self-born wisdom." And so on, it is explained extensively. Such wisdom, if endowed with the limb of skillful means, is the way to liberation. If such wisdom is fully understood, one will be liberated through skillful means. Without wisdom, liberation from bondage is impossible through skillful means alone. Therefore, the path of the Bodhisattvas is that they do not fall into samsara through the power of wisdom, and they do not fall into nirvana through the power of skillful means. Therefore, in the secret Sutra of the Blessed One Tathagata, it is said: "Son of lineage, just as fire burns from fuel, and when there is no fuel, it is extinguished. Similarly, the mind burns from an object, and when there is no object, the mind is pacified." Therefore, a Bodhisattva who is skilled in skillful means, because the Prajnaparamita is completely pure, also knows the pacification of objects, and does not pacify the object of virtuous roots, nor does he cause the object of afflictions to arise, but abides in the object of the Paramitas. He also separately examines the object of emptiness, and also looks at all sentient beings with great compassion." And so on. Such a path of combined skillful means and wisdom is the realization of the Middle Way, which is free from the extremes of exaggeration and denigration. In this way, with wisdom,
