Emaho! All the dharmas devoid of profound path are merely conceptual constructs, Even gods in the formless realm meditate on space and the like. To merely be free from mental activity is considered the supreme profound path. The result of meditating on that alone, without relating to anything else, is the attainment of longevity for eighty thousand great eons. Therefore, be skilled in the view and the place of meditation. The tradition explained by the holy ones has become disparaged. There are two types of meditation: investigation and abiding. It is the time to combine conceptualization and non-conceptualization. In the actual practice, it is agreed to be free from mental activity. In the time of combination, it is the basis for the arising of signs. Having determined that to be the basis for investigation, Liberation from the four extremes, in the actual practice, is: Clarity and emptiness, without grasping, the tradition of the wise of former times. If there is no mental activity during the actual practice (Later Tibetans), it is like investigating beforehand and then falling asleep. Therefore, at that time, thinking and investigating, "It is emptiness," is the tradition of later wise ones. Having abandoned all conceptualization and investigation, The innate wisdom, self-luminous and naked, When it arises again, without fabrication or distraction, Looking at one's own face is the method of abiding meditation. Whatever the method of investigation and abiding meditation, One's own characteristic, the nature of luminosity, Clear and radiant, without meditation or distraction, is the essence of the meditation of all practice lineages. Even if the practice during the time of equipoise is like that, During the post-meditation period, whatever arises, all appearances, With the strong recollection of dreams and illusions, If meditated well, appearance and emptiness arise as inseparable. In the great bliss wheel, on the white lotus, sun, and moon, The root guru, Vajradhara, complete with the three kayas, With unwavering devotion, without attachment, as the actual Buddha, Always cherish the tradition of undistracted supplication. Although there are many terms for introducing the nature of mind, When looking at one's own face of innate wisdom, The knowing, clear and radiant, is the wisdom of union, In the utterly pure dharmakaya, introduce everything. The samadhi of the third and fourth dhyanas, And the four formless absorptions, are the one-pointed mind of existence. Bliss, clarity, and emptiness, non-conceptual, are a wrong path. Know the difference between the path and the wrong path. Whatever appears in the realm of the six senses, such as the form of the Buddha and the form of a flesh-eating demon, Whatever appears, if one understands well that mind and the nature of mind are empty, then obstacles are transformed into accomplishments. Bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality are.

Illusory appearances of clear seeing, flying in the sky, walking on water, and so on. Although there are many clinging to the supreme, if not grasped by realization, various experiences are like Indra's bow. Through mantra substances, sleep, and the power of meditation, etc., various experiences of confused wind and mind, although there are many great meditators who take delight in them, most are in danger of falling into the abyss of distraction. In short, from whatever practice one undertakes, if faith and other virtues naturally increase, and attachment and other non-virtues naturally decrease, that Dharma is the wonderful path of the Victorious Ones. The slopes of snowy mountains and dense forests, etc., are delightful places of practice for those who desire liberation. With few desires and contentment, living on alms, wearing simple robes and worn-out clothes, not transgressing the precepts of the well-spoken Vinaya, one should train from afar in the path of the Bodhisattvas. The view, meditation, and conduct that have been explained before, now seize them as a stronghold for this life. The environment for realizing one's own benefit through practice, and the extent of connection for the benefit of others, manifesting meaningful reality, one should properly impart one's own experiences and the instructions of other lineages to worthy beings. Professing to be a renunciate, yet bound by attachment to this life; professing to be free from delusion, yet caught in the net of grasping and clinging; professing to be an accomplished one, yet one's mind is devoid of realization—such a practitioner is a magician of the world. Restraining oneself with the pure Vinaya, the thoughts and actions of a Bodhisattva are truly wonderful. A renunciate who is not inferior to the yoga of the Great Secret path, such a practitioner is a place of worship for gods and humans. Thus it is. All these characteristics should be integrated into practice based on the wisdom of hearing and contemplation. Therefore, the Buddhas, speakers of truth, have taught the four intentions: direct meaning, hidden meaning, intentional meaning, and different meaning. And the commentators of the noble land of India, in order to counteract the four inversions, have explained the actual meaning of emptiness as the complete opposite and necessity. In order to realize the meaning of selflessness, one must first listen to the tenets of those who believe in self, and then one can determine the meaning of selflessness. As the Bengali Pandit said: "In the beginning, when searching for it, one should say that all exists. When one realizes the ultimate meaning and is without attachment, then there is the meaning of complete emptiness." Thus it is said.
