Therefore, as long as samsara exists, the mind does not turn away from that, and the entering mind with firm vows, from that time on, even if one is heedless or asleep, one turns away from non-virtue, enters virtue, and acts for the benefit of sentient beings. With the power of great compassion and loving-kindness, the stream of virtue is uninterrupted, as stated in the *Avatamsaka Sutra*: "Noble son, all actions of body, speech, and mind of one who possesses the mind of enlightenment are meaningful, and are always of one taste, which is virtue." Thus, it is prophesied that even if any aspect of virtue is not connected with the manifestation of the mind of enlightenment, the mind of enlightenment that has been attained and not lost, the cause that was initially connected, like a drop of water merging into a great river, is constantly connected to the stream of virtue that is in accordance with liberation. Especially due to the profound faith in the ultimate reality, an inexhaustible stream of merit arises, equal to the sky, as stated in the *Sutra Requested by Glorious Giving*: "The merit of a Bodhisattva, if it had form, would fill the entire expanse of the sky, and it would be even greater than that." As such, the practice of entering into the all-encompassing conduct, at the time of the six perfections, the five, such as generosity, are the cause of happiness due to ignorance, while wisdom is the cause of liberation. Thus, for those with such intellectual strength, the way to accumulate the accumulations on the Mahayana path is explained: the accumulations of many eons can also be completed. Like vehicles of cattle and elephants, the sun and moon, etc., the manner of proceeding, with varying speeds and boundlessness, is such that those with great intellectual strength, through skillful diligence and wisdom, can destroy the vows of three countless eons. Among them, Bodhisattvas with extremely dull faculties require thirty-three countless eons, with three each in the paths of accumulation and preparation, and three each in the ten bhumis. Those of intermediate faculties require seven, with two each in the paths of accumulation and preparation, one in the path of seeing, and two in the path of meditation. Those of sharp faculties require three. As it is said in the *Middle Way Jewel Lamp*: "Those of sharp faculties will manifest enlightenment in three countless eons, those of intermediate faculties in seven countless eons, and those of dull faculties

It is thirty-three countless eons. Thus, the sharpest edge is also established as three countless. From the initial generation of the Mahayana mind of enlightenment, due to dull faculties, one mixes with and attends to the Hearer Vehicle, or is slightly stable, or not at all stable, or even for the sake of life relies solely on and reveres the Mahayana, as well as the mind of enlightenment, compassion, the six perfections, the four reliances, and the objects of gathering. Due to the difference in the power of diligent wisdom, one gradually and equally accumulates the two accumulations. With great mental strength, one can accumulate the accumulations of many eons in each moment. Therefore, the manner of traversing the destruction of the vows of the three countless is shown by five examples of speed and slowness. In the Sutra on Entering the Mudra of Certainty and Uncertainty, it says: Manjushri, there are five kinds of Bodhisattvas. What are the five? They are: proceeding like a cart of livestock, proceeding like a cart of elephants, proceeding like the sun and moon, proceeding like the miraculous powers of Hearers, and proceeding like the miraculous powers of the Thus-Gone Ones. Bodhisattvas who proceed like a cart of livestock and proceed like a cart of elephants regress from enlightenment. Bodhisattvas who proceed like the sun and moon, proceed like the miraculous powers of Hearers, and proceed like the miraculous powers of the Thus-Gone Ones do not regress from enlightenment. Among them, what is a Bodhisattva who proceeds like a cart of livestock? For example, if someone wants to surpass worlds as numerous as the dust particles of five Buddha-fields, and then rides a cart of livestock and sets out on the path, and after a long time, travels over a hundred yojanas, but is blown back by a great wind-wheel and retreats eighty yojanas. Then, can that person, riding a cart of livestock, surpass those worlds, or surpass one world in eons from inexpressible to inexpressible? They replied: Blessed One, no, there is no opportunity. The Blessed One said: Likewise, if someone
