If the nature of the departed is seen, there will be no inconsistency. For the noble Dharma, the truth of the cessation path of the Mahayana, and the Sangha, the non-returning noble Bodhisattvas, one should generate certainty and faith, and abide among them. The *Bodhicaryavatara* says: "Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, are always present without obstruction, before all of them, I am always present." Thinking thus, generate shame, and with reverence and fear, constantly remember. Thus, there is no need to invite from any direction, and one need not worry about the suffering of leaving one's homeland. Geshé also said: If a lama is not found, then for all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and those who possess vows, all who have reached the end of enlightenment, with unobstructed eyes looking ahead, generate strong faith in them, and take them as they are, with great devotion to them alone. So it is. The real acceptance is: not to make beautifying the scriptures with ornate language the main purpose, but to make benefiting others the main purpose to tame the mind, and according to the view of the teacher Shantideva, all the contents of the Bodhisattva Pitaka should be accepted completely. Through the verse "Until the essence of enlightenment," one takes refuge in an uncommon way. Here, if we distinguish between the way to generate aspirational Bodhicitta and engaging Bodhicitta, then the commentary on the *Bodhicaryavatara* by the great scholar Krishna says: If one wants to generate Bodhicitta, then recite the verse "Just as the Sugatas of the past, generated the mind of enlightenment" three times. From then on, one is called a Bodhisattva, and possesses the qualities mentioned before. If one wants to take both the mind of enlightenment and the vows, then recite the verse "Just as the Sugatas of the past, generated the mind of enlightenment, and abide in the Bodhisattva's training, in that order. Likewise, for the benefit of beings, I generate the mind of enlightenment, and likewise, in the training, I will diligently train in order" three times. So it is said. However, the *Compendium of Trainings* says that engaging Bodhicitta and vows have the same meaning.

Following that, here, the rituals of aspiration are divided into different categories, but the Pratimoksha vows are not taken separately. The mere thought of "attaining Buddhahood for the sake of others" is just a common Bodhicitta. Why? Because, as stated in the "Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment": "Without turning back, make a vow, Generate the mind of enlightenment." Thus, generating the mind with all sentient beings as the object, and vowing not to abandon it until enlightenment is attained, is the characteristic of aspiration Bodhicitta. If one can learn its precepts, just like the Buddhas of the past: "As the Sugatas of old, First generated the mind of enlightenment, Likewise, for the benefit of beings, I generate the mind of enlightenment." Thus, by understanding the connection, one takes the aspiration Bodhicitta. The ritual for engaging Bodhicitta is taken in the usual way. In essence, the distinction is made based on whether one can learn the precepts or not. "The Bodhisattva's trainings, Reside in them in order." These two lines distinguish the difference between whether one can bestow the engaging vows or not. Here, in order to show the characteristic ritual of the Bodhisattva vows that combine aspiration and engagement, according to the tradition of the master Nagarjuna and the noble Asanga, the foundation is laid with the three refuges, awakened with three requests, and then the mind of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is truly generated and the precepts are taken. Although the pain of the afflictive obscurations has been cut off, one still clings to the taste of the objects of the cognitive obscurations. Liberate the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas Arhats who have not yet been liberated, and from Brahma and other ordinary beings bound by the two bonds, to those who abide among the learners and noble ones, liberate those sentient beings who have not been liberated, and place the three lower realms, who cannot obtain a breath from the intense panting of extreme suffering, in a place of great relief. In short, guide all sentient beings trapped in the wheel of the twelve links of dependent origination to the state of non-abiding Nirvana. The statement held by the delightful ritual is based on the tradition of the sages of the past. To this, some virtuous individuals can take it themselves in the presence of the Three Jewels, or beginners and ordinary people can take it from a lama.
