In reality, if you exploit others, you will experience the consequences of being a slave, etc. If you use yourself for the sake of others, you will enjoy the consequences of being a king or leader, etc. All the happiness in the world comes from wanting happiness for others. All the suffering in the world comes from wanting happiness for oneself. What need is there to say more? Look at the difference between a child who only acts for himself and the Buddha who acts for others. You should cultivate these teachings well. Such cultivation also abides in the nature of the four immeasurables, and the beginning of the four also arises from gratitude, and from that, the way they are accomplished sequentially like cause and effect. The aspirational practice of the four immeasurables is also: from gratitude arises love, from love arises compassion, from that arises bodhicitta, arising is the true accomplishment of the measure of reason. Regarding this, the Bengali Pandit considers knowing (all beings as) mothers, remembering kindness, repaying kindness, pleasing love, pure higher intention, loving great compassion, and the ultimate self-fruit, to be the sevenfold causal secret instruction. Therefore, having regarded all sentient beings as mothers, the way to remember their kindness: like a newly born wretched person, the mother uses her embrace as a bathroom, touches all impurities with her hands, serves with milk, covers with bodily contact. She would rather die herself than have her child get sick, she can endure all sins, sufferings, and evil words, if one despises such kindness and service, what could be more chaotic than that? Thus it is said. So, by what reason do we know that all sentient beings have been my parents? In the Sutra of the Great Nirvana of the Holy One, it says: If this great earth were made into balls the size of peas, and if one were to count the number of times a sentient being has been my parent, this great earth would be exhausted, but the number of times a sentient being has been a parent would not be exhausted. Thus it is said. Thus, for the extremely weak sentient beings who have just been born since beginningless time, like the form of a worm or a small insect, whose limbs and branches are not yet complete, whose feelings appear as pleasure and pain but whose power of the senses is weakened, whose face, which is not pleasing to look at, resembles a broken pot, take them without hesitation, and use your embrace as a bathroom.

It was done. All the unclean and foul-smelling parts were wiped away by hand. She served with soft milk. Holding onto the warmth of her flesh, she was not weary of the cold and rough clothes. With a loving heart, disregarding suffering, she would rather die herself than have her young child be sick. She taught gestures and friends. For this reason, she endured sinful actions and suffering, and even unbearable bad words. To be ungrateful, to disrespect kindness and service, is to harm sentient beings, and therefore, degenerate behavior and malicious thoughts are the worst in the world. Because there is nothing worse than this, it is oppressed by a heavy burden. As it is said: This land with its mountains is not my burden, the heavy burden of ingratitude is like poisonous food entering the stomach. Its burden is faster than aconite poison, and poison that has deteriorated, like deadly poison mixed with food entering the stomach, although one thinks it will not decay, it will eventually decay, as it is said in the Vinaya-vibhaga: The lands and the mountains, and the ocean are not my burden, the act of ingratitude, that is my heavy burden. Therefore, one must understand the way to repay kindness. Therefore, for all limitless sentient beings, who have been mothers, and bestowed the sacred kindness of benefit, one must remember, thereby increasing the four immeasurables such as loving-kindness. For those who are grateful and repay kindness, one should serve with the wealth of the noble ones. Like this, if one recognizes that all sentient beings have been one's mothers, one will remember their kindness. Remembering in this way, one will obtain the thought of gratitude and repayment, and naturally generate pleasing loving-kindness, From page 201 to 300. And compassion that observes those tormented by suffering, and joy that rejoices in their liberation from suffering and attainment of perfection, and equanimity that has no partiality in helping them because one recognizes that all sentient beings have been one's parents, these four Brahmaviharas will grow more and more. Therefore, one is not stingy in giving, and one gradually becomes rich with the wealth of the noble ones such as shame and embarrassment, as it is said in the Jataka: One who knows kindness and repays kindness, and does not despise kindness, the auspicious protectors will be close to him. Therefore.
