Finally, there is no prohibition. The uncommon is the pure morality of the Bodhisattva's mind, so one cannot enter into the form-based precepts. Or, even if one can, it is because of necessity, in order to greatly benefit others. Bodhisattvas such as Bhadrapāla and Vimalakīrti appeared as householders with forms, and as it is taught that they were connected to their respective Vinaya Pitakas, the tradition of correctly holding the view of Madhyamaka was initiated by the great teacher Nāgārjuna and the prince Śāntideva. Furthermore, the foundation of the teachings is the sacred Vinaya. For the sake of taming the minds of beginners or those who do not possess the lineage through the form-based precepts, the brothers Asaṅga followed the excellent ordained Bodhisattva mentioned in the Ornament of the Sutras and explained the generation of Bodhicitta in accordance with the view of the Mind-Only school, in whatever way it may be. As it is said in the Tenth Chapter of the Earth Store Wheel Sutra: "The Bodhisattva's pure morality has two aspects: the common and the uncommon. The common is the precepts of a lay devotee or the fully ordained Prātimokṣa of an ordained person. The uncommon is to protect morality with a mind of equality towards all sentient beings, a mind of non-harm, and a mind of non-hatred. Protect without looking at the ripening of existence." If one understands the meaning of what is said here, then the biased and sectarian thoughts that only follow scriptures will be pacified. Now, in order to connect with the vast conduct tradition of aspiration and practice, and to gather the meaning of what is to be learned, one should truly transfer one's own happiness to others, endure taking on the suffering of others, and aspire to never be separated until enlightenment, while engaging in the extraordinary activities of giving and taking with courage. Here, not going beyond the nature of aspiration and practice is to hold the mind. Abandoning what is contrary to it and immediately rectifying any downfall is purification. Having done so, one should train in exchanging one's own happiness and the suffering of sentient beings at all times and in all ways.

It is the supreme of the methods for generating Bodhicitta. As the Bodhicharyavatara says: "If one does not exchange one's own happiness for the suffering of others, one will not attain Buddhahood, and there will be no happiness even in samsara. Not to mention the next world, in this world, without acting as a servant and without giving rewards, the meaning of this life will not be accomplished." Therefore, at the beginning of the practice, just as one likes to be perfect, so do other sentient beings. Just as one does not want to suffer, so do other sentient beings. Therefore, one should regard protecting oneself and abandoning others as bad, and one should view oneself and others as equal. By familiarizing oneself with this, and carrying the burden of all sentient beings, one should give to others, focusing on all times and places when one's own breath of happiness is exhaled outwards. When the suffering of others is inhaled with the breath, one should take it together with oneself, and practice this giving and receiving. As mentioned earlier: "A fearless army, gladly accepting self-discipline, viewing oneself and others as equal, exchanging oneself and others." Thus, when contemplating the vast conduct of a Bodhisattva, if one thinks that one is not worthy to be a companion and becomes afraid and cowardly, one should generate the strength of effort like a swallow building a nest on a rock. One should gladly accept it like a peacock cherishing its feathers. One should subdue one's own mind like an eagle soaring in the sky. After acting in this way, in the past, one has not regarded all sentient beings as parents and strived for their sake, and one has used others for one's own benefit, etc., and even now one has become a servant of kings, etc. Therefore, now one should focus on benefiting other beings, and cultivate the joy of subduing oneself, and not be separated from the increasing Bodhicitta. As that treatise says: "If one harms others for one's own sake, one will suffer in hell, etc. If one harms oneself for the sake of others, one will obtain all perfections. One who desires to be superior will be reborn in a bad realm as a bad and foolish person. If one gives this virtue to others, one will obtain the fruits of the good realms in order. My
