It is not. Fifth, the limb of turning the wheel of Dharma is: For those who are not tamed by the actions of samsara without liberation, who cannot be tamed by any hard or stubborn thing, and who lack constancy, urge them to turn the wheel of Dharma that has sharp spokes and holds the rim. Thus, the actions of sentient beings in samsara are untamed, unpacified, unrestrained, sinful and unwholesome, obscured by deceit, as hard as an iron bar for the sake of generosity, as hard and tolerant as diamond glue for the habituation of bad deeds, and like a stiff reed in the aspect of renunciation and faith. Since they cannot be tamed by any other means, urge them to turn the wheel of Dharma, which can be summarized into three stages: the explicit meaning, the implicit meaning, and the allegorical meaning, whose sharp spokes are superior and definitive, and whose rim cannot be transgressed. As it is said in the "Bodhicharyavatara": "I prostrate with folded hands to all the Buddhas in all directions, to light the lamp of Dharma for sentient beings who are confused by suffering." Like Brahma, urge with aspiration, courage, and generosity; like the Venerable Subhuti, urge with expertise in questioning and answering; like Avalokiteshvara and the Lord of Secrets, urge with expertise in the profound and vast places; like the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence and the Licchavi Vimalakirti, urge with skillful means with their own confidence. Likewise, focus on the Buddhas of the ten directions and their retinues, and personally urge the virtuous spiritual friends who possess names and meanings. Thus, it will purify the fault of abandoning the Dharma and hold the sacred Dharma in all lifetimes. Sixth, pray that those who show nirvana do not abide: Seeing that these beings, abandoned by the Buddhas and their sons, temporarily rely on suffering, therefore, on the seat cushion and throne that is not nirvana, pile up the value of all things. If the teacher and disciples do not exist, then his teachings will also decline. If the teachings do not exist, then one will not know what to accept and reject of actions and their results, so one can only act in the cause and effect of suffering.

Because it is abandoned by the path of liberation, even if one obtains the support of a happy rebirth, one will fall into the single state of disadvantage. Having thought in this way, just as the layperson Cunda requested our teacher to postpone nirvana, visualize the Buddhas residing in the infinite realms of the world, and repeatedly pray to invite the noble beings, actually offering food and drink. As a result of this similar cause, one will not die untimely. The seventh is the limb of dedication: The white virtue that trembles with self-grasping is a single cry of exaltation in samsara. The alchemy of dedicating to enlightenment is something that other teachers' traditions do not have. In this way, virtue mixed with self-grasping, which is focused on the fruit of happiness in samsara, is called a portion of merit, and the fruit ripens once and is exhausted. Similarly, dedicating to the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas should be considered to have inferior results. The Intermediate Mother Sutra says: 'Subhuti, this root of virtue should only be dedicated to the Buddha's ground, and should not be dedicated to the grounds of Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, or others.' Therefore, dedicating solely to perfect enlightenment, focusing on all sentient beings, is like applying alchemy to turn iron into gold, which is not even mentioned by name among non-Buddhists and others. Therefore, Nagarjuna said: 'Whatever is the great accumulation of merit, completely dedicated to sentient beings, whatever the Powerful Sage has said, this has not been explained in other treatises.' Moreover, the object of dedication is: The Avatamsaka Sutra says: 'All the virtues of all beings, what has been done, what will be done, and what is being done.' That is, all the roots of virtue done by sentient beings, as well as what one has done in the past, what one will do in the future, and what one is doing now, are the virtues belonging to the three times. What is to be done is that if one does not focus on all sentient beings attaining Buddhahood, one will fall into the Lesser Vehicle. The Intermediate Mother Sutra says: 'This should also be dedicated for the sake of all sentient beings, and should not be dedicated only for the sake of one's own attainment, otherwise one will fall into the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas.'
