and the endless things that are considered one's own. The supreme offering of Samadhi is, as stated in the Sutra of the Heap of Jewels: Most flowers, superior flowers, and the rays of light emitted by the arrangement of flowers, various flowers are spread everywhere, with this I offer to the great Victor and his retinue. Just as the immeasurable things held in the palm of the hand are offered to one Victor, so it should be for all Victors. This is the miraculous display of the Samadhi of the Sage. Thus, the inexhaustible miracles arranged by the dance of Samadhi are like the Brahmin Vyakta's unobstructed prophecy of complete and perfect enlightenment. Furthermore, the cloud of offerings emanated from the Samadhi of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra is unmatched by anything else, and merely imitating the offering slightly is also called "narrow shoulders." On the other hand, the supreme offering is, as stated in the Sutra of Akashagarbha: Generating the mind of Bodhi, upholding the sacred Dharma, cultivating compassion for sentient beings, and practicing the Dharma, these four. Why does this accomplish offering? Because there is no other way to please the Buddhas. The third branch, the branch of confessing sins: The karma of false speech and habitual sins, the form that flees in fear of virtue, and all that is hidden in the thick darkness of existence, are purified and confessed by the burning sun of the four powers. Among them, the doors of sins to be purified are six, desire, hatred, and ignorance are the three poisons, body, speech, and mind are the three doors. Although body, speech, and mind can all be agents, from the main aspect, the mouth is the door of sin, so it is said the karma of false speech. And the mind itself is poisonous, it is the basis of all habits. The agents of both of these, name and form, etc., and relying on dependent origination, one's own actions of sin, or instigating others to act, and rejoicing in these actions, thereby blocking the path to heaven and liberation, causing oneself to suffer in the three lower realms such as hell. Therefore, if all the causes of suffering are not fundamentally purified by the ritual of the four powers, then temporary virtuous actions will be overwhelmed.

Just as one flees to another place, although unseen, the fruit of that karma accumulates and never vanishes in the bardo until the time is ripe, so it is said to be hidden in the thick darkness of existence. As it says in the Hundred Karmas: "The karmas of sentient beings, even for a hundred kalpas, will not be lost. When they gather and the time is ripe, they will naturally ripen into fruit." Therefore, represented by the objects of refuge (the Three Jewels) and the lama, khenpo, acharya, parents, etc., the karma done and accumulated with a mind of affliction, without being purified or exhausted, if one is violently forced away by the Lord of Death, just as a violent hailstorm suddenly falls from a cloudless sky, or a great wind suddenly arises from a silent earth, great harm will occur. Those who do not understand this, or who understand but disregard the infallibility of karma and its results, will commit various sins for the sake of friends and enemies. At the time of death, the self will also disappear, and those friends will also disappear. The stream of consciousness does not cease, so the sins committed for their sake, with their unpleasant and ripening results, will only cause suffering to oneself, not to relatives and beds, etc. As Acharya Shantideva said: "For the sake of friends and enemies, I have committed various sins." etc. And: "When the messengers of the Lord of Death seize you, what use are relatives, what use is knowledge? At that time, the only refuge is merit, but I have not cultivated it." etc., exposing the faults of carelessness, admitting that one is a sinner, crying out for help, praying for refuge like a dense rain of arrows from Lhada (a place name), but not concealing sins. The meaning of this is also as it says in the Vinayavibhaṅga: "Having done extremely unpleasant deeds, one will be weakened by self-reproach." Therefore, we are all those who have fallen into the abyss of samsara, tormented by karma and afflictions, vessels of hundreds and thousands of faults and downfalls, completely controlled by karma and the ripening of karma, so whether day or night, we must think only of the means of liberation from it, as it was said before: "From unwholesome karma arises suffering, how can one be certain of liberation from it?"
