Soft and smooth garments, moistened and anointed with perfumes and fragrant waters, priceless jewels whose value is difficult to express, bracelets, armlets, earrings, crowns, and so on. Even the Mighty One (Buddha) who has abandoned the qualities of desire, accepts them for the sake of accumulating merit. Worldly Lord and other close sons, and the sixteen bodhisattvas of the Fortunate Aeon, such as those who lead all to the lower realms, as well as the form of householders, Dharma Increase, Ever Weeping, and Licchavi. Even the renowned Immaculate One is made poor. On the chariot of fragrance that pervades the three thousand worlds at once, the sweet scent of sandalwood incense entwined, the marks and signs that are the source of merit, are anointed with a luster that surpasses refined gold. On the vast crystal ground of equanimity, a thousand-petaled lotus of loving-kindness blooms, the sun and moon of compassion shine brightly, Great Bliss, the Blessed One and his sons, please reside here. Thus it is said. Explaining the demeanor of demonstrating the realization of faith, with a body bent in unfamiliar casualness, with reverence in the heart, demonstrating realization, with a handful of flowers fully held in the palms, holding the conduct of a poor person. Naturally, from the posture of the body, the realization of the mind becomes clear. If I am before the Tathagata and his sons, if I think that I should not sit with a coquettish attitude, a gloomy expression, or a careless casualness, I will restrain myself with shyness, lower my eyes, and hold my hands full of flowers together at my heart, abiding with a mind of reverence, fear, caution, and shame. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Before the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, who always see without obstruction, I always abide in their presence. Having thought thus, with shame, fear, and reverence, I always cherish this intention." And so on. The infinite qualities of the Sugatas, such as possessing knowledge and conduct, like abiding in this aeon, at the moment of arriving in the garden of faith, it is not sadness, but the hairs stand on end. Thus, with the posture of the body, stimulating the mind's nature of faith, the infinite qualities and compassionate gaze of the Buddhas previously mentioned, such as possessing knowledge and conduct.

Just as time passes in other worlds, we feel constrained simply because we are invited to be guests of faith, and the body also generates a strong feeling of faith merely because the hairs stand on end. As asked by Good Protector: "Thereafter, Good Protector's hairs stood on end, and he took refuge in the Bhagavan." This can serve as an example. Having generated faith in this way, one should offer the seven-branch offering. As the noble Asanga said: "If a Bodhisattva wishes to quickly realize perfect enlightenment, then one should prostrate three times during the day and three times during the night, make offerings, confess sins, rejoice, urge the turning of the wheel of Dharma, pray not to enter Nirvana, and dedicate to enlightenment." As it is said, the supreme offering is the excellent seven-branch offering for accumulating merit and purifying obscurations. Among them, the first is the branch of prostration: Like a new moon bathing in a pool, like a peacock girl playing and frolicking, the count of youth is inexhaustible, the number of dust particles, extremely confusing, the hands are busy and unceasing. The meaning of prostration is the excellence of the limbs, the meaning of the head touching the ground. Joining the palms like a lotus bud and then separating them is the general determination of prostration, as stated in the Great Liberation Sutra: "Like a lotus bud about to bloom, join the hands at the crown of the head, with clouds of immeasurable bodies, prostrate to the Buddhas of the ten directions." Among them, the initial form of prostration is like a tree lying on the ground, the whole body carefully stretched out on the ground, called the prostration of Dipamkara Buddha. If this cannot be done, then perform the five-point prostration, with the head touching the ground, and the other four limbs also touching the ground. Also, joining the palms at the crown of the head, throat, and heart, focusing on the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, joining the palms in prostration, and then prostrating with all five limbs touching the ground three times, is called prostrating nine times. Also, when prostrating to a lama or the like, first perform the seeing prostration three times, then offer the object of prostration three times, and then pray not to enter Nirvana three times, which is also called nine prostrations. Starting from the knees of the object of prostration, embracing with the hands is called the knee-embracing prostration, Ah...
