The heels touch the ground, and then the hands touch one's own head, facing one direction. Here, prostrate as much as one can. Then, along with the five-limbed prostration, visualize bodies equal to the number of dust particles in the Buddha-field and prostrate. Regarding the benefits, it is said in the Vinaya Sutra: Bhikshus, the ripening of the merit of your faithfully prostrating to the stupa of the Tathagata's hair and nails is such that as long as anger does not arise towards those who practice chastity, you will experience the happiness of a Chakravartin king equal to the number of fine dust particles up to the mighty golden ground, and you will go among gods and humans. Even for those who have the intention of seeking the fruits of higher realms, there are such benefits, let alone the merit of prostrating for the sake of generating Bodhicitta, which is inconceivable because it ultimately leads to the state of peace. The second limb, the limb of offering: With the actual wealth that completes the limb of generosity, and the incomparable mental transformations symbolized by it, surpassing the supreme clouds of offerings, envying the virtues of Samantabhadra. Among these, the actual arrangement of supreme offerings is the manner just described. Not relying on this, the completely unattached offerings, belonging to the category of medicines, the forms of jewels, pure and pleasing clean water, land that produces gold and jewels, secluded and delightful pastures, pleasing bird nests, stacked rock houses, medicinal lands, forests, without mucus and entanglement, trees without thorns, lotus flowers grown in water (Tibetan: པདྨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: पद्म, Sanskrit Romanization: padma, Literal Chinese meaning: 莲花), utpala flowers grown on land (Tibetan: ཨུཏྤལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उत्पल, Sanskrit Romanization: utpala, Literal Chinese meaning: 青莲花), udumbara flowers that appear in season (Tibetan: ཨུ་དུམ་ཝཱ་ར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उदुम्बर, Sanskrit Romanization: udumbara, Literal Chinese meaning: 优昙婆罗), mandarava flowers that exist in the heavenly realms (Tibetan: མནྡ་ར་བ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: मन्दारव, Sanskrit Romanization: mandarava, Literal Chinese meaning: 曼陀罗), sumana flowers (Tibetan: སྣ་མ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सुमन, Sanskrit Romanization: sumana, Literal Chinese meaning: 苏摩那), champaka flowers (Tibetan: ཙམ་པ་ཀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: चम्पक, Sanskrit Romanization: campaka, Literal Chinese meaning: 瞻波迦), nāgakesara flowers (Tibetan: ནཱ་ག་གེ་སར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: नागकेसर, Sanskrit Romanization: nāgakesara, Literal Chinese meaning: 龙花), and so on, gardens of flowers, the pleasing sound of flowing water, fruit trees with flowers and abundant fruits and beautiful foliage, agarwood, red and white sandalwood, the six excellent fragrances, camphor, styrax, and animals such as deer and birds that are beautiful to look at and have pleasant voices.

I, the ocean, ponds, lotus ponds, uncultivated crops, wish-fulfilling trees, in short, everything that exists within the four continents and Mount Meru's world circle, like the possessions of Uttarakuru, everything that is not possessed through contention, all of which are made to abide as objects of one's own mind, because of poverty, the difference in thought is most important, and does not depend on actual wealth. As it is said in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: "I am without merit and extremely poor, I have no other wealth to offer, therefore, for the sake of benefiting others, may the protectors accept it by my power." Thus it is said. What arises from the mind are: flower garlands arranged in an interwoven and exquisite manner, incense sticks blended in equal proportions, jeweled lamps placed in order on golden lotuses, wish-fulfilling jewels, the sun and moon and other illuminating objects, fragrant perfumes poured into vessels, rice, white sugar and other foods, pleasing drinks, pomegranate juice, the sweet sounds of musical instruments such as large drums, and furthermore, all the ground is well arranged and swept, anointed with fragrant perfumes, and scattered with various kinds of flowers, immeasurable palaces stacked upon each other, with jeweled nets and cornices, and in its wide surroundings, bathing ponds adorned with palm trees, many gods and goddesses singing and dancing, and the palace adorned with strings of pearls and jewels, jeweled umbrellas, victory banners, flags, and canopies, all of which are luminous and of a manifest nature, auspicious vases possessed by the owner, wish-fulfilling trees, wish-fulfilling cows, the seven royal emblems, the seven precious jewels, the eight auspicious symbols, and also soft, smooth, comfortable to the touch ornaments, bracelets, armlets, semodo, earrings, necklaces, horses, elephants, vehicles, various kinds of clothing, the differences of enjoyment, and ornaments worn on one's own and others' bodies.
