The nature of all dharmas is unborn, and the nature of dharma is free from all extremes of elaboration. From the moment of appearance, it is unborn, unceasing, primordially peaceful, and naturally in nirvana. Therefore, even the conventional truth that is accepted is refuted. Chandrakirti said: "As you assert other-powered entities, I do not accept even the conventional." If so, how is it established that all dharmas are unborn or have the characteristic of being born? In the Bhagavati Sutra, it says: "O venerable Subhuti, is the unborn born, or is the born born?" Subhuti said: "O venerable Shariputra, I do not assert that the unborn is born, nor do I assert that the born is born." Thus, he refutes the vows of acceptance of others. Furthermore, if one thinks that this appearance, which is without cessation, is established as birth, etc., that is merely a characteristic imputed by the mind. There is no acceptance of the tenets of establishment or non-establishment, so there is no negation of mere appearance. As Aryadeva said: "How can appearance itself not be negated? Because it is dependently arising. Here, the thought of truth, which is the cause of suffering, should be reversed." Thus, the four kinds of reasoning are considered the view of the Middle Way when they are definitively established in their own nature. If one considers the emptiness of the object of determination, which is free from extremes, to be the view of the Middle Way, then those four extremes will become views of clinging to extremes. This is because the difference between extremes and clinging to extremes has not been distinguished. As it says in the Sutra of the Ornament of the Light of Wisdom: "In the nature that transcends extremes, who would view it as a lump? There is no acceptance of even a little." Therefore, after examining and analyzing the characteristics of the lower three philosophical schools with the mind, the object of wisdom, such as unbornness, emptiness, and freedom from extremes, is not merely an examination of one aspect of elaboration, but rather, from each object of clinging to extremes, the essential point of contention is refuted by consequentialism. In this way, one will not contradict the higher schools, and in the face of the discriminating awareness of ultimate analysis, whatever non-conceptual wisdom is not a conceptual knower of acceptance is the profound Middle Way view that speaks of no self-nature. As it says in the Lankavatara Sutra: "Only the mind does not discriminate, and external objects are...

Homage! When all discriminations cease, that path itself is the Middle Way. Furthermore, it is said: If one analyzes wisdom, the essence is ungraspable. Therefore, those are inexpressible, and it is said that essence is also nonexistent. Also, in the Clear Words, it says: Non-discrimination is the movement of the mind, because it is separated from it. Therefore, that suchness is without discrimination. Thus, by applying the wisdom of hearing to the path of contemplation and meditation, one will realize the stainless reality, and especially, the characteristics of schools that are based on relative establishment due to individual attachments fall into decline. From that, even the wisdom that knows well the characteristics of what is real, similar to real, and not real, arises dependent on hearing, and it cuts off afflictions. Without afflictions, the demons cannot find an opportunity. In general, even in the noble land (India), the Great Vehicle was proclaimed as not being the word of the Buddha, and similarly, great beings like the singer-accomplishers who were prophesied by the Tathagata to teach profound emptiness were also proclaimed as propagators of false Dharma. In this land of Tibet, there are many schools that are manifested and created by new relative establishments of attachment with different modes of arising. If one determines that all of these are in accordance with the power of one's own mind and are beneficial to sentient beings through the activities of the kings, then the Dharma nature that pervades everything is only the teaching of the fully enlightened Buddha, and nothing else. In any case, because of the many ways of debate, many people fall into sectarian bias and thus step onto the precipice of bad destinies. We do not engage in refutation with malice tainted by attachment towards all proponents of philosophical tenets, through manifest or unmanifest forces, but because we are devoted to the bodhisattva's treasury and focus solely on practice, as it is said in the Flower Ornament Sutra: "O sons of the Victorious Ones! There is no fault greater than bodhisattvas generating malice towards each other." Therefore, we are afraid. Even so, if all aspects of correctly speaking about the wisdom of meditation are proclaimed as the Chinese system and prevented, unless all doubts are dispelled, we will maintain equality in all aspects and
