, and in the commentaries from Indian treatises, it mentions "ultimate truth and." Here, the term "ultimate truth" (don dam, परमार्थ, paramārtha, ultimate meaning) although a name for all things, is explained as referring to the nature of all things that is extremely hidden and indivisible. This itself is the peaceful ultimate truth; it is the only reality, because the reality that merely relies on the relative is just a designation, since it belongs to the category of concepts. Furthermore, cognitions such as direct perception with and without images are called conventional, because they obscure the vision of the ultimate truth. This is very clear. Moreover, on the level of the image of the object of consciousness and its elaborations, all phenomena either converge into one, or abide as multiple. However, the ultimate truth is completely different from this, because it is entirely contrary to the substance of consciousness, so it is impossible to exist simultaneously with consciousness. Even so, the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra* says: "The characteristic of the conditioned realm and the ultimate truth is the nature of being free from one and different. Whoever perceives them as one and different, they are engaging in improper attention." This is a view that, like worldly customs, acknowledges the tenets of a philosophical school, merely stating that if the conventional and ultimate appear, they appear the same; if they do not exist, they do not exist the same, being essentially the same. Briefly, the classification of philosophical schools is: the ultimate truth of knowledge is analyzed by wisdom, and the ultimate truth of objects is destroyed by tools. The indivisible atom is the doctrine of the Śrāvakayāna school. Dividing it further, there are the Vaibhāṣika and the Sautrāntika. First, the proponent of the Hīnayāna school who does not even acknowledge the term self-awareness is the characteristic of the Vaibhāṣika. For it, from the aspects of the basis, path, and result, the basis of phenomena, the ultimate truth of knowledge is influenced by the analysis of wisdom, and the ultimate truth of objects is not harmed by being destroyed by tools, etc. The continuum of consciousness and the grossness of objects are conventional, and the moment of consciousness and the indivisible atom of objects are considered ultimate. Vasubandhu says: "What is destroyed by what and analyzed by wisdom, if eliminated, wisdom does not enter, like a pot of water it is conventional, the ultimate exists otherwise." Meaning that, in the view of the Śrāvaka Vaibhāṣika, being destroyed by an opponent or analyzed by wisdom
