For example, in terms of enjoyment, the listener understands that the nature of the physical body is equally the same; the speaker understands that for his own sake, the accumulation of merit and the attainment of the Dharmakaya are equal, and for the sake of others, the performance of benefit to others is equal, these are the three equalities. As stated in the Abhidharmakosha: "All Buddhas' accumulations and, Dharmakaya's activities for the benefit of beings, are equal, not by lifespan and, lineage, or size of body." The intention of speaking in a veiled manner is to eliminate the following views: that the ascetic Gautama would preach the Dharma even without being requested; and that if one could attain extraordinary achievements merely through six years of asceticism, then the Dharma that is attained would be too shallow. Therefore, the Buddha said: "I have attained a profound, detachment, luminous, unconditioned, nectar-like Dharma, but even if I were to preach it to anyone, they would not understand, so I will practice alone in the forest." This is to show that the Dharma is extremely difficult to realize. Another situation is that the Buddha expresses himself in a way that contradicts the meaning and words, for example: "I killed the Bodhisattva Moon Beauty, and took it out from under the tongue." Or as stated in the Dhammapada: "One should kill the father and mother, and the two virtuous kings, and destroy the entire country and its retinue, such a person will attain purity." Here, the root of samsara is craving, because of attachment to the happiness of samsara, it is the father. Taking is desire, it is the attachment to desire, so it is the mother. The Alaya consciousness is the basis or container of various habits, so it is the king. Similarly, the Brahmin is the one who clings to the view of the aggregates, and the ascetic is the one who clings to the vows and ascetic practices, these are the two virtuous ones. The internal six senses, that is, the eight consciousnesses summarized by the grasper and the grasped, are the country and its retinue. The expression of destroying these is to indicate that when the self-continuum no longer possesses these, one attains purity, if one mistakenly takes this as the literal meaning, then it is a great mistake. Thus, these four, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Entering the veiled meaning, the veiled meaning of self-nature, the veiled meaning of antidote, the veiled meaning of transformation. The Shravakas and the essence, likewise subduing faults and, the profound nature of speech, there are four kinds of veiled meanings."

In short, the difference between intention and implication is: Intention is merely a mental construct, not dependent on grasping the other party. Implication's intention relies on grasping the other party, it is the discerning eye for viewing scriptures. Regarding the difference between these two, intention and implication, the Commentary says: Intention is merely a mental construct, not admitting reliance on grasping the other party. Implication's intention relies on grasping the other party. That's what it says. Regarding this place of intention and implication, previous Khenpos had slightly different views. Master Aryadeva said: The Buddhas, for the sake of those to be tamed, teach the Dharma according to their inclinations, to some beings, they teach the Dharma of turning away from evil, to some beings, they teach not to listen to the two, cause and effect, to some beings, they teach the Dharma of distinguishing the two truths, for those with deep secrets, they teach the Dharma with the essence of emptiness and compassion, like this, the reason for arising in conjunction with the vessel of those to be tamed, for those great intellectuals who fully understand, is not contradictory, because they are proficient in the occasions of words, meanings, intentions, and necessities, therefore they can well distinguish the reasons of the scriptures, this is the second key to viewing the sutras and tantras. Now, in order to show the classification of the holy Dharma to be measured, from the perspective of the measured, the Victorious Ones said that the eighty-four thousand gates of Dharma, all of their meaning lies in the conventional and the ultimate, there is no third truth other than the two truths. For the realm of sentient beings, relying on taming the three afflictions inherent in their own continuum, the taming holy Dharma is the Vinaya Pitaka, the Sutra Pitaka, and the Abhidhamma Pitaka, or, the three trainings of discipline, concentration, and wisdom, or, from the perspective of definite number and vastness, the eighty-four thousand gates of Dharma that are said, all rely on the conventional of the way things appear and the ultimate truth of the way things are, there is nothing that does not rely on them, therefore the third truth is a word of negation. As it says in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son: These two truths of worldly wise ones, you have not heard from others but have seen for yourself, that is the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, there is no third truth. Like this. On the aspect of the conventional...
