Even our teacher practiced diligently in various stages of the path of learning for countless eons. My behavior, however, is to guard laziness and abandon diligence. I feel it's a pity to waste this precious human body with leisure and endowments. I must urge myself: I have never developed a habit for even a small amount of merit. How can I possibly attain future lives like this? My actions are truly meaningless and ridiculous! Like this, generating a strong desire for overcoming faults, just as a tired elephant scorched by the sun rushes without hesitation into a lotus-filled lake at the height of midday, striving diligently without satisfaction, then transcendent diligence will naturally arise in the mind. As stated in the "Earth Store Ten Wheels Sutra": Transcendent diligence is when a Bodhisattva, with extremely diligent effort, treats all sentient beings with equanimity, eliminates all afflictions, karma, and suffering, engages in activities without attachment, and initiates diligence with a non-abiding mind. Initiating diligence without abiding in the three realms. Diligence without discriminating about the ripening results, and diligence without clinging to gain or loss, this is transcendent diligence. Just as the sutra says. Now, to explain the Paramita of Dhyana (meditation), first, the causes and conditions for achieving Dhyana are explained. First, the virtues of the forest are described: The forest is a medicinal land with abundant flowers, a dwelling place for swans in great peace, with beautiful rocky hillsides, and adorned by young deer. There, all the ground is covered with green grass and shrubs, the forest with colors like a peacock's neck, and flowers from various trees and sprouts, beautifying everything around. Cool streams flow with a gentle sound, not too harsh, falling on beautiful stone steps, producing pleasant sounds. The distinction between hills and valleys becomes gentle, and in suitable places, there are lakes, ponds, puddles, and pools, as well as harmless, slowly flowing rivers, and lush green meadows.

Among sentient beings, swans and geese are paired together, swimming and behaving peacefully; everywhere is filled with the buzzing sound of bees. In between, there are mountains as good as stacked rocks, with smooth surfaces and oily colors, with natural caves and places for birds to perch and horses to rest, birds and wild animals look lovely, it is comfortable to be with them, there are no thoughts of anger and harm, they love each other, their minds are calm, and they can also naturally calm the minds of meditators. As it is said in the "Bodhicharyavatara": "In the forest, birds and wild animals and trees, do not make unpleasant sounds, it is pleasant to be with them, when will I be able to live together with them? Or in a cave or empty temple, or dwell under a tree, when will I not look back, and dwell without attachment?" It is also said: "The joyful forest is the girdle of the goddess, when the net of young tree cotton sways halfway, the cuckoos who are not afraid because of doubt, spread letters of weariness with samsara." Like this, the top of the mountains, decorated with the crest of the moon, the neck has a green meadow like a spread silk, the girdle is a beautiful rain cloud, not a foolish forest, the youth of the tender branches has matured, decorated with fragrant leaves and earrings of flowers, those girdles are connected like chains by young tree cotton, forming the appearance of a net and a half net, seeing the gentle wind swaying and blowing, the king of the feathered ones, the youth of the soft and tender branches, the coral's enticement trembles and sways, the groups of cuckoos are also weary of the nature of samsara, shaking, decaying, changing, for the unreliable nature, spreading new letters of weariness, thereby encouraging meditators to strive diligently. As it is said in the "Letter of Exhortation": "The full moon is decorated at close range, the girdle is entwined with heavy rain clouds, in the open space of the mountain top forest, without attachment, the nature of swaying like the wind, long life and great fortune." Also, as the teacher Hero said: "Bees are fat and flying and singing, trees are lush
