That is the thought. Likewise, unless one relies on the single ultimate Dharmakaya, they will deceive and mislead. As stated in the Uttaratantra: "Because of their deceptive and misleading nature, because they do not exist, because they are accompanied by fear, the two dharmas and the assembly of noble ones are not ultimately refuges. The only refuge is the Buddha, because he possesses the Dharmakaya that protects. The Sangha is also the ultimate of that." The meaning of the last three lines is: In the ultimate Akanishta of self-appearance, the body of the Buddha, who abides inseparably from the nature of reality, is the Sangha, the speech is the sacred Dharma, and the mind abides in the Dharmakaya of the Buddha, so the three kayas are considered to be the nature of the Three Jewels, with one essence. As it is said in the Yeshe Drubpa: "The mind free from purity and attainment is the Buddha, the unchanging and stainless is the Dharma, and the spontaneously perfect qualities are the Sangha. Therefore, one's own mind is supreme." Therefore, in order to show the three types of individuals who take refuge, there are the temporary, the supreme, and the unsurpassed. From the three motivations of the small person, one goes between the fear of the lower realms and the attainment of higher realms. The two middling ones fear samsara and seek liberation, temporarily as long as they live, and ultimately until they attain the fruit of the Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha. The great one fears the peace of abandoning the benefit of others, and in order to liberate the great breather in samsara, goes to enlightenment, which is also one's own mind, the refuge of the fruit that has abandoned separation, attainment, and deception. Therefore, there are three types of minds of individuals, the lowest of the low hope for help from temporary refuges, and they are afraid of subtle fears and take refuge in their own deities, mountains, forests, and so on. As it is said in the Sutra Adorned with Banners: "People frightened by fear mostly go for refuge to mountains and forests, gardens, stupas, and trees. That refuge is not the main one, that refuge is not the supreme one, and relying on those refuges, one is not completely liberated from all suffering." Thus it is said. Like this, people who have not entered a philosophical system, or who have entered a system but cling to what is not a refuge as a refuge, are outsiders, and those who have entered the Buddhist fold have only temporary faith in the Three Jewels.

also have no ability to enter the path, and although they respect the paths taught by the Teacher based on accomplishing temporary higher realms, they do not value the state of this life, but only strive for the happiness and fruits of higher realms in future lives, which is the small person. As stated in the "Lamp for the Path": "Whoever, by those means, seeks only the happiness of samsara, and strives for their own benefit, that person is the lowest." As it is said. Therefore, those who take refuge in the Three Jewels are slightly different from the small person, but in reality, they are only afraid of the fear of the lower realms and aim for the temporary fruit of higher realms, and the time of refuge is only until the happiness and fruit of higher realms are obtained, which is not good. In the Vinaya Sutra, it is said: The Venerable Ananda explained to the Brahmin girl the manner in which the merits of refuge in the higher realms arise, and the Blessed One said: Ananda, that is not the case, seeking the happiness of existence is called an inferior person. Therefore, one should proclaim the virtues of liberation. As it is said. Moreover, liberation is only the definite goodness of liberation from samsara. The path of the intermediate person is all the Dharma taught by the Teacher based on the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles. Thus, with the distinction of wisdom, knowing that the nature of all existence is suffering, generating renunciation, and taking refuge before aiming to obtain liberation from it for one's own sake, and temporarily taking refuge until the end of one's life, and ultimately taking refuge until the fruit of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer is obtained. As it is said in the Sutra King Banner: Whoever, whenever, goes for refuge to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, the four noble truths, suffering, the arising of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the eightfold noble path that leads to nirvana, if one sees with the eye of wisdom, those refuges are the chief, those refuges are the supreme, relying on those refuges, one is completely liberated from all suffering. As it is said. The path of the great person is to strive for the attainment of omniscience.
