Grelpa said that here, pleasantness and unpleasantness arise in relation to the worldly dharmas of gain and non-gain, etc. It is not in relation to gain, etc., because even the noble ones possess them. Therefore, it should be understood that by virtue of the object of focus, there are eight types of worldly dharmas. Among them, unpleasantness and disparagement should be understood from the distinction between secrecy and non-secrecy. That is to say, in summary, if the conceptualizations arising from these eight worldly dharmas, such as the four of gain, arise, there is pleasantness, and the four of non-gain, etc., cause unpleasantness. If this balance is not achieved, then one cannot make subtle distinctions in accepting and rejecting cause and effect. Furthermore, it shows that the path of the noble ones does not arise in one who merely dwells in worldly dharmas. Moreover, it shows that being overly attached to the other thirteen worldly dharmas and indulging in evil deeds also leads to falling into the lower realms. As it is shown below: Lineage, form, power, etc., are praised and extolled, Laziness is hidden in negligence, Arrogance arises without being attained, These all become rakshasas who hate diligence and the splendor of asceticism. The power of a greedy and attached mind is strong, The creeper of deceit overwhelms with force, Even if one protects oneself by deluding others, That great harm enters into oneself. This is explained by embellishing the words and elaborating on the meaning. For example, being arrogant with lineage, being arrogant with form, being arrogant with power, being arrogant with learning, being arrogant with youth, these five elevate oneself; laziness, which is the opposite of diligence, or being dormant in a state of negligence like a demon of laziness; especially having the arrogance of thinking that one has attained what has not yet been attained; the rakshasa who hates the splendor of asceticism refers to both desire and hatred. Greed refers to always clinging to one's own perfections, which is the opposite of generosity; attachment refers to craving for self and enjoyment; these overwhelm the mind, and deception is accompanied by extremely unstable false notions; being accustomed to deceiving others is hypocrisy. Therefore, by protecting oneself through these thirteen ways, one deludes others.

Although the world is known for its universally used specialties, it is like swallowing poisonous food, which is very harmful to oneself, so it should be regarded as an enemy. As it is said in the Letter to a Friend: "Miserliness, deceit, attachment, and laziness, Conceit, desire, and hatred, Lineage, appearance, learning, and youth, Arrogance due to great power, regard them as enemies." Furthermore, to show that the individual ripening of good and evil is even more increasing than the external cause and effect, (it is said in the sutra): In samsara, the two fruits of black and white actions, even from a small seed, can make the shape of the fruit, become large, which only the king (referring to the Buddha) can do. Just as seven beans can produce a wheel-turning king. A certain tree, whose seed is only the size of a mustard seed, the fruit of the Aśvattha tree (Sanskrit: Aśvattha, Bodhi tree) in the season of maturity, each branch can grow to a yojana (Sanskrit: Yojana, ancient Indian unit of length), but still cannot be compared to the example of the growth of good and evil images. In this way, the ripening of the two, good and evil, in the external cause and effect relationship, the example of the most enormous growth of the Aśvattha tree, cannot even symbolize a part of it. Even a tiny cause can produce endless fruits, which is the internal cause and effect, the growth of the two, good and evil, is what the king I (referring to the Buddha) can do. In the past, when a handful of beans were scattered to the Buddha Vipashyin (Sanskrit: Vipaśyin, one of the past seven Buddhas), four of them fell into the alms bowl, and two hit the chest, thus obtaining the result of becoming a golden wheel-turning king who ruled over the four continents. In sequence, he became the Four Great Kings, and the lord of the Thirty-Three Heavens, possessing the power to sit on half a seat. Shariputra (Sanskrit: Śāriputra) once offered cloth and needle thread to a Pratyekabuddha (Sanskrit: Pratyekabuddha), thus obtaining vast, sharp, and profound wisdom, becoming the foremost wise one among the Shravaka disciples. A cowherd boy repaired the elephant statue on the base of the stupa, thus enjoying the wealth of elephants in all lifetimes. The venerable Katyayana (Sanskrit: Kātyāyana) received a bowl of water offered by an old woman, thus being reborn as a deva. Furthermore, just by scattering a handful of dust with faith in the Tathagata, one can experience happiness for countless kalpas. Just because of throwing a flower into the sky towards the Buddha
