Like a soaring bird, its shadow is temporarily invisible, Like tangible things, severing all aggregation and separation. Once aggregation and time mature, it becomes even more apparent. Thus it is combined. For example, the shadow of a bird flying in the sky has never been separated from its body. Due to the unevenness of the ground, it is temporarily difficult to see. Once the bird lands on the ground, the shadow immediately appears beneath it. Similarly, once conditions aggregate and the time matures, the consequences of actions cannot be escaped. The sutra says: "The actions of sentient beings, Even after hundreds of thousands of kalpas, will not be wasted. Once conditions aggregate and the time matures, They will ripen into their own fruit." The Suhrllekha (Letter to a Friend) says: "Whatever sinful deeds are committed, Though they are not immediately cut off like a sword, When the time of death arrives, the karmic consequences will become manifest." Furthermore, it is said: Non-virtue is like the fire of a horse-faced deity, It can even dry up the waves of the heavenly ocean. The analogy and meaning of destroying the ship of omniscience, Are explained in the Karmashataka and the Mahavyutpatti. As long as the clinging to phenomena is not exhausted, even the slightest non-virtuous action can produce great results. Just as the fire of the horse-headed mother can dry up the vast and deep ocean, non-virtuous actions can destroy the root of the bliss of the heavenly realms. Even if the mind is liberated from defilements, the ripening of karma will not let go until the physical body is abandoned. Therefore, even the body, which is like the ship of omniscience, will be destroyed. For example, the venerable Maudgalyayana was killed by heretics, The venerable Shariputra died of starvation due to poverty, and the bhikshuni Utpalavarna was killed by Devadatta, who struck her head with his fist, and so on. Even those who have attained the state of Arhat follow the course of their karma. As the Prajnaparamita Sutra says: If non-virtue can obstruct rebirth in the heavenly realms, what need is there to mention the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas? What need is there to mention obstructing the attainment of the all-knowing Buddha? This is just a glimpse. Furthermore, the vast reasoning of karma and its effects should be examined in the Smrtyupasthana Sutra, the Karmashataka, and the Mahavyutpatti, and so on. This is a brief mention. For the wicked who can endure the tortures of hell,

The land of the brave with the mighty army of ten powers, Not established by the arrows of war, Yet all the broken vows are under your control. Some abandon discipline, some abandon life, Some abandon asceticism, some abandon Dharma and wealth, Some abandon shame, some abandon conscientiousness, It is very common to give up for the sake of sin. Therefore, there are two kinds of virtue:

This shows that those who practice the ten non-virtuous actions that are contrary to virtue will only go to the lower realms. Among them, some with pride engage in battle, and some abandon their vows for the sake of protecting their families, like the royal Renchhen Drak. Similarly, those who give up their lives for the sake of hatred include the wandering ascetic Samgha Acharya, the monk Devadatta who practices asceticism for the sake of jealousy, King Yanlagmed who abandons the Dharma for the sake of ignorance, the merchant's daughter who abandons shame for the sake of desire, and the son of King Desyong who abandons embarrassment for the sake of lust. In short, in this world, people are willing to give up their bodies and lives for the sake of evil, but they are stingy with land and water for the sake of virtue. Therefore, the lower realms are like the dust of the great earth, and the higher realms are like the dust of a fingernail. This is a great cause for sadness in every way. This shows that even if non-virtuous actions are done for the sake of others, their results cannot be shared. Because, even if one abandons the powerful sin of double drinking, bound by it, for the sake of the object of offering, relatives, retinue, and protecting the country, the results cannot be shared. The characteristic of sin is that its nature is to have great results, so it is exemplified by the image of an elephant. To abandon it by binding it with the rope of the mind of renunciation means to act recklessly. What need is there to say if it is practiced for one's own sake? Even if it is practiced for the sake of others, they will not take a share of the suffering when experiencing the results. In particular, the supreme Three Jewels, as the object of offering, cherish sentient beings like an only child, so they are never pleased with the honor and service that arise from torturing them, killing them, and plundering their territory and wealth. Because, to proclaim violence as Dharma is the doctrine of the barbarians. Similarly, even if it is done for the sake of relatives, like Maudgalyayana's mother, even if one commits many sins such as stinginess for the sake of family and children, karma ripens on the doer, so one is born in the lower realms, the son attains the fruit of an Arhat, and the husband...
