Those who are possessed like wives are all within the scope of engaging in sexual misconduct. Arising from men refers to other men engaging in sexual acts with the mouth, anus, etc. Arising from animals refers to engaging in sexual acts with the genitals and anus, etc., of those animals. Arising from boys and girls refers to forcing those who cannot engage in sexual acts to engage in sexual acts with their mouths, anus, and genitals. These acts of sexual misconduct are completed by three branches: recognizing the place and time, engaging in the act, and experiencing the subsequent pleasure. These are as mentioned in the scriptures, explaining the path of the ten virtuous actions. If following the literal meaning of one's own treatise, obtaining payment refers to being possessed by others after they have paid, giving payment to prostitutes, etc., whether adorned with marks or not, being protected by place and time in the same way. Non-permissible places refer to all places that are not for sexual intercourse, but rather to other places besides the senses, as stated in the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha: the senses of the limbs, one's own efforts, etc. The teacher Ashvaghosa said: What is called a non-permissible place is that which is possessed by others, possesses the banner of the Dharma, is protected by lineage, is protected by the king, a prostitute bought by others, and having relations with relatives, etc., these are non-permissible places. Thus, explaining from places that are not limbs shows that the Chinese treatises are consistent in meaning, but differ in the way names are established. Here, the actions of body and speech are physical, so it goes without saying that if one does it oneself, participating in the deliberation of others' actions, if the ideas are the same, is no different from the actor, as stated in the Abhidharmakosha: For the same purpose as war, etc., all are endowed like the actor. Even so, there is no fault for those who are insane, mentally disturbed, and tormented by feelings. Similarly, if the four, basis, intention, action, and completion, are not complete, then the action is not complete, and this principle can be applied to all situations. The four of speech are: lying to deceive others, alienating friends with malicious intent or remaining neutral, speaking harsh words repeating the faults of others and creating hatred, and idle talk.

Jesting words generate attachment and aversion. Words unrelated to allied armies and robbers. Harsh words pierce the hearts of others. Compliance causes others to be unhappy. The four verbal actions also have two aspects: direct and compliant. Direct falsehood is perfected by four branches: the basis of speech is incorrect, the intention and view of deceiving others are kept in mind, untrue words are spoken, and their understanding is transformed. The great teacher of wisdom said that speaking about doubtful things as if they were certain is also just lying. The basis of incorrectness is that one is not a noble being, and likewise, without clairvoyance, while not hidden from oneself, one directly speaks or writes or gestures that are not true, so that others hear and mistake one for a noble being or one with clairvoyance, and their understanding changes, which is a great lie, exemplified by those known as supreme human teachers. Compliance is speaking after knowing that one is deceiving others with words that are disguised as upright. Slander is perfected by three branches: the basis of separation is that people are friendly to each other or in a state of equanimity, slanderous words are spoken, and the meaning is ultimately understood. There are also times when lying and slander are similar. Lying has the intention of deceiving, and slander has the intention of separating, and that is how they are distinguished. Compliance is repeatedly speaking the same words that are mutually unpleasant. Idle talk is what is spoken with an afflicted mind that does not belong to the other three, and even if the other person does not understand the ultimate meaning of the three, it becomes idle talk, as the commentaries of both Good Friends' Treasures state. Thus, the monk Chöden Rabjor Yang also said that idle talk is perfected by two branches: thinking of what is not Dharma as Dharma, and speaking idle talk. That is, thinking of what is not Dharma as Dharma and speaking idle talk is all of it, including offerings and poems, as well as the secret mantras of Brahmins, songs of lust, theatrical words, the talk of prostitutes, and the five things praised in India in the past.
