A piece of wood with a hole is blown westward by the east wind, and eastward by the west wind. Likewise, is it possible for a blind turtle's neck to fit into a hole of a yoke drifting in all directions? The Blessed One asked. The assembly replied: Even if the ocean is small, it might be possible, but the ocean is vast. Even if the yoke stays in one place and has many holes, it might be possible, but it drifts east, west, south, and north and has only one hole. The turtle does not stay still, but floats on the surface of the ocean all the time, and even if it has eyes, it only comes once every hundred years, let alone being blind, so it is impossible to fit. Monks, there is a time when that blind turtle's neck will fit into the hole of that yoke when it emerges upwards. Monks, I say that obtaining a human birth is even more difficult than that. Therefore, do not let this leisure be meaningless. If it becomes without leisure, it will be impossible to recover later. This is similar to what is said in the Garland of Flowers Sutra. If it is so difficult to obtain a human body, think about how many people are gathered here. In general, a human body with leisure is like a mustard seed on the tip of a needle. In particular, considering the number of other beings, it is difficult even to obtain a human body. For example, a human body is like a star in the daytime, and animals are like stars at night. Animals are like stars in the daytime, and hungry ghosts are like stars at night. Hungry ghosts are like stars in the daytime, and hells are like stars at night. As it is said: Animals are like the lees of wine in the outer ocean, hungry ghosts are like a blizzard, and hells are as numerous as the dust particles of the great earth. This can also be understood through reason. Look at the creatures seen in a single forest, a single river, a single beehive, or a single ray of sunlight. The entire vessel world is an empty wilderness without people or cities. Obtaining a human body is fewer than the number of universal monarchs. If people are thought of as spectators in a large city

Among the many people in India, China, Mon, Lho, Nepal, Zhangzhung, Kashmir, Hor, Mongolia, etc., entering the Buddha's teachings, learning them, or even as believers engaging in accepting and rejecting based on cause and effect, is rarer than the Buddha's appearance in the world. Considering this, one must generate joy within oneself and strive to not waste the leisure and endowments. As stated in the Vinayavibhanga: "Monks, look at the beings in the lower realms. It is extremely difficult to obtain a human body again and again. Look at these teachers with wrong views. It is extremely difficult to encounter a true spiritual friend. Look at these immoral ones who have fallen from discipline and liberation. Abiding in the qualities of practice, single-mindedly practice virtuous Dharma, and happily spend your life under a tree or in a monastery." Thus it is said. Fifth, generating joy from the perspective of benefits and advising that when leisure and endowments are obtained, it is the time to strive in Dharma, thereby summarizing the meaning: Therefore, now is the time to seize the great ship of leisure. If you do not cross the ocean of suffering, then the guest on the path of Dharma, seeking opportunity, will be inclined towards fruitless listening. Thus it is said. Thus, the nature of samsara is a vast and deep ocean of suffering. To be liberated from it, now seize the great ship of leisure and endowment. The basis for this, the wisdom capable of discernment and the aggregation of interdependent origination, is said to be a body superior to the gods. Because the gods are proud of their status, they do not realize the truth. The basis for all vehicles, both great and small, is only the people of Jambudvipa. Therefore, our teacher also went to Kapilavastu. This precious human body that I have obtained, is it definitely real? If it is not a dream, one should generate joy just thinking about it. As stated in the Vinayavibhanga: "Maudgalyayana, one should think about this single-mindedly, that is, leisure; remember it with joy." In particular, if the lama who is like a captain does not strive at this time of steering the ship, there will never be an opportunity to escape from the belly of the crocodile of birth, old age, sickness, and death. As stated in the Bodhicharyavatara: "On the ship of human life"
