Tormented by suffering, temporarily reborn as gods and humans, due to the accumulation of some merit, there is a moment without the cycle of birth and death in the lower realms. While dwelling in the happy realms, the suffering of the lower realms, like a flame, becomes unbearable and subsides. If one craves the qualities of desire of gods and humans, like craving a few bites of food, in the continuation of the previous. Likewise, unbearable suffering helplessly and constantly torments. For a brief moment, in some way, there is no confusion of birth and death. If the momentary suffering, the flame that was originally unbearable, is extinguished. Then the whole world will also crave a little happiness. Thus it is. The causes and effects of those divine realms are also excerpted from the Mindfulness Sutra: If someone does not desire selflessness and does not like to be completely possessed. Then he is the best of all foods and will be reborn as the Four Great Kings. To parents and paternal relatives, one who reveres, praises, and is patient. If one likes to fight, then he will be reborn as the Thirty-three Gods. Those who do not like to quarrel and fight, and who are dedicated to virtue, will go to the Heaven of No Strife. One who is learned, holds the Dharma, has wisdom, and desires liberation. Those who love qualities will go to Tushita Heaven. If one enters into taming oneself and is happy to uphold the precepts. Then he will go to the Heaven of Transformation, where he does not eat demons but enjoys transformation. Any sentient being who does not regard medicine as supreme, but gives alms, tames, and makes correct vows. Having excellent qualities, he will surely be able to freely control the Paranirmitavasavartin. By discipline, one can attain higher realms; by meditation, one can become distinguished. By truly and completely understanding, one will ultimately be free from rebirth. Here, some words have been slightly reduced. Explaining the suffering of the Asuras: Envying the glory of the gods, with enmity, after splitting one's own heart into pieces, again on the fierce battlefield, the Asuras suffer from having their own heads and limbs cut off. In this way, the Asuras, because they are naturally arrogant, have arrogance arising from arrogance, and therefore have the suffering of being afflicted by defilements. In particular, they grieve in their hearts because of envy of the glory of the gods, and they have the suffering of fighting with the gods. What is the cause? From the Mindfulness Sutra, the people of Jambudvipa, through merit
