As the fruit of actions, virtue increases in this very life, and wishes are fulfilled as desired, which is also the result of practicing goodness. In this life, too, things will go well. As extensively explained in scriptures such as the Sutra of the Ten Virtuous Actions. In short, merit does not diminish like a share. The Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra says: "Venerable Shariputra, by what roots of virtue does one go among gods and humans and ultimately become an unsurpassed Buddha?" It is by having one mind of generating unsurpassed Bodhicitta, and the ten virtuous actions, the four concentrations, the four formless absorptions, and the six perfections. These roots of virtue will never be exhausted or cease in the bardo." That is, the wisdom that realizes selflessness, and the method of great compassion, are connected without any temporal order, which is why the merit of the Great Vehicle is so great. Furthermore, after realizing the meaning of the two selflessnesses, the virtuous act of the union of skillful means and wisdom is like the elixir that turns stone into gold. When it comes into contact with the iron ore that is contrary to samsara and nirvana, it can achieve the wisdom of non-abiding nirvana, achieving the state of the Victorious One. This is a virtuous act that transcends the world. Just like the tenets of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas of the Lesser Vehicle, it is not focused on the self of the person and the self of phenomena, but rather the inner actor is separated, and the object of perception is also known to be without self-nature, this perceived object is the selflessness of phenomena. And the knowable is free from the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding, and spontaneously arises as emptiness, this perceiver is the selflessness of phenomena. Because the aspect of skillful means is fully equipped with all of these, the virtuous act of the union of skillful means and wisdom, which is without difference or duality, is like the elixir that turns stone into gold. At the very moment of performing virtuous acts, one is liberated from the notions of merit and non-merit. From the perspective of clinging to things and their own characteristics, when it comes into contact with the iron ore that is contrary to samsara and nirvana, it can enter the wisdom of non-abiding, just as one cannot find soil and stones in the golden city of omniscience. This is a virtuous act that transcends the world. As the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra says: "When the five perfections are grasped by the Perfection of Wisdom, then one will enter the great city of omniscience." The Bodhisattvacaryavatara says: "The Buddha said that all these limbs are for the sake of wisdom."

Thus it is said. Such a seed of the union of the two accumulations, the infallible fruit of liberation arises from: the accumulation of merit with specific aims during the path, the accumulation of wisdom without aims, through union, purifying the two obscurations, manifesting the two bodies, is the profound dependent arising of pure cause and effect. Thus, the contaminated are the five types of merit accumulation such as giving, and the uncontaminated profound wisdom, the wisdom accumulation. When these two are united, the afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge are purified as being without inherent existence, and from the accumulation of merit arises the form body, and from the accumulation of wisdom arises the dharma body, thus manifesting the two aspects. The Precious Garland says: The form body of the Buddhas arises from the accumulation of merit, the dharma body, in brief, is born from the accumulation of wisdom of the Victorious Ones. Thus it is. If divided from the perspective of the ground, then the path of joining, down to the supreme dharma, is the worldly path, that is, contaminated. Having attained the path of seeing, it is uncontaminated, therefore it is transcendent. If divided from the perspective of the path, then the wisdom of equipoise is uncontaminated, and subsequent attainment is considered contaminated. The function and basis of all those virtues is that the nature of the virtue that is in harmony with liberation is encompassed by the cause of the path truth of cessation, so although it relies on the alaya-vijnana of various habitual patterns, the result of cessation is that it relies on emptiness of inherent existence or on the essence, therefore it is the unchanging liberation, the cause of the sacred. These are the dependent arising of pure cause and effect, the sacred place of extreme subtlety. In the Jewel Storehouse of Qualities, the Rain of Joy, it says: The collection of karma, cause, and effect, is the commentary on the third chapter. The commentary on the fourth chapter. The fourth general meaning is the establishment of the nature of samsara as suffering, for the sake of showing its connection with the words of the first turning of the wheel. Those who rely on the supreme boat of higher realms, although temporarily cast out by the cruel tongue of the crocodile of the lower realms, because they have not reached the dry land of liberation, should rely on the helmsman of the four noble truths. In our situation of samsara, higher realms are the excellent support of gods and humans, like a vast boat, experiencing only happiness.
