If it turns into something undesirable, if you think, 'Why doesn't it ripen immediately?' It is said, 'Some of the sinful deeds...' etc. It is said that although it does not cut off as if it were only at the moment of sinful deeds, however, when the time of death comes, the fruit of sinful deeds will manifest. This is what the great scholar Lodro Chenpo explained. Furthermore, it is shown that the noble path does not arise when one abides in worldly dharmas: Craving for gain and only desiring pleasure, Taking pleasantness to heart and becoming arrogant when praised, From which the other four bring blame, These children are deceived by worldly dharmas. In this way, although it is not a sacred dharma in the world, there are eight things that are known as worldly dharmas: craving for the dharma of gain, desiring the dharma of pleasure, taking the dharma of pleasantness to heart, becoming arrogant by the dharma of praise, and the opposite of that, not gaining, not being happy, not being pleasant, and being blamed, the other four dharmas make the mind unhappy, these eight dharmas are the dharmas that deceive children. Then, if we measure the scope of the meaning of the words with the commentary on the noble scriptures, then in the Letter to a Friend it says: 'The world knows gain and no gain, pleasure and displeasure, pleasant and unpleasant, praise and blame, these are called the eight worldly dharmas, please do not let them be the object of my mind.' The meaning of this sentence is explained by the commentator that the worldly dharma here refers to the happiness and unhappiness of the mind that is directed towards gaining or not gaining etc., and not to gaining etc., because the noble ones also have these. Therefore, it should be understood that due to the object, there are eight kinds of worldly dharmas. Among them, unpleasantness and blame should be understood from the difference between hidden and non-hidden. That is to say, to sum up, if the four kinds of discrimination arising from these eight worldly dharmas, such as gaining, arise, then the mind feels happy, and there are no four kinds of not gaining etc. that make the mind unhappy, if this balance is not achieved, then the subtle details of what to take and what to leave in terms of cause and effect cannot be done, and abiding only in worldly dharmas, the noble path will not arise, this is what is shown.

Furthermore, it is taught that clinging to the thirteen worldly things and indulging in evil deeds also leads to bad destinies: Boasting of lineage, form, power, and so on, Hiding in the guise of laziness, Arrogance and conceit that provoke evil, They become demons who hate the glory of asceticism. With the firm power of a greedy and attached mind, Overwhelmed by the clinging vines of deceit, Even if one deceives others and protects oneself, That great harm enters one's own being. This is an explanation that combines the embellishment of words with the circling of meaning. For example, being arrogant with lineage, being arrogant with form, being arrogant with power, being arrogant with learning, and being arrogant with youth—these five kinds of arrogance are praised and extolled. Laziness, the opposite of diligence, or lying in the guise of a lazy demon. In particular, the arrogance of thinking that one has attained what has not been attained. The demons who hate the glory of asceticism are desire and hatred. Stinginess is the opposite of generosity, clinging to one's own perfections. Attachment is craving for oneself and one's possessions. When these overwhelm the mind, thoughts become unstable, accompanied by deceptive perceptions, and being accustomed to deceiving others is deception. Thus, although these thirteen things are known as the characteristics of worldly conduct, protecting oneself and deluding others, they are like swallowing poisonous food, Causing great harm to oneself, so they should be regarded as enemies. As it is said in the Letter to a Friend: Stinginess, deceit, attachment, and laziness, Arrogance, desire, and hatred, Arrogance of lineage, form, learning, and youth, And arrogance of great power—regard them as enemies. As it is said. Furthermore, it is taught that the ripening of good and evil is even greater than external cause and effect: In samsara, the results of white and black actions, Even from a small seed, the form of the fruit, A great man can produce a large one. Like four wheel-turning kings from seven beans. Whatever seed is the size of a mustard seed,
