Like a butter lamp. Since the mind is of the nature of illusion, how can there be a state of permanence even at the beginning and end of the day? As Ashvaghosa said: If the bodies of the Buddhas, adorned with marks and signs, even the vajra body is impermanent, then what need is there to mention other beings who are like trees by the water without heartwood? Also, as the Joyful Lord said: Form and enjoyment, hearing and discipline, etc., are not permanent, and even those who are free from desire are not seen to abide forever. Second, having accomplished meditation, thinking they can abide for an eon, but upon seeing death, even Brahma, Ishvara, Sudeha, and the Wheel-Turning Kings do not contemplate a way to escape the Lord of Death, Mara. Those who have accomplished worldly meditation, from the Peak of Existence who can abide for eighty thousand great eons, down to the gods of the Fourth Dhyana, those who live from eon to eon, also follow after karma and cannot avoid the moment of death. Therefore, Brahma, Ishvara, Vishnu, Indra, the Four Great Kings, the great sage Vriddha, and the Shila-griha, etc., who possess the qualities of wisdom, the eye, and clairvoyance, and the Wheel-Turning Kings who rule over the four continents, etc., whose fame of merit and glory pervades everywhere, and who are proud and arrogant with the excellence of wealth, also die without satisfaction and do not contemplate a way to escape. In the Vinaya Sutra it says: Monks, look at these decaying and meaningless riches! In my past recollections of samsara, I have experienced countless Brahmas, Indras, and Four Great Kings, etc., but I have died without satisfaction and have fallen into the lower realms. Also, as it says in the Letter called "Eliminating Sorrow": If one constantly clings to inverted thoughts, even beings from the Peak of Existence are led by the noose of death, like an elephant by a noose. Experiencing the bliss born of meditation, even Brahma falls from the realm of Brahma, like a bank on a pool of water. Indra and the thousand, and the hundred Wheel-Turning Kings, are changed by the death of time, like a burning lamp extinguished by the wind.

. The five great sages have supernatural powers and can also travel far in the sky. But no matter where, as long as there is a place of birth and death, it is impossible to reach. So it is said. Third, the heavenly medicine garden has a pleasant scenery, and the lives of sentient beings are always惦记 by the majestic hunter holding a stick, and he only thinks about this matter in his heart. Like the beauty and wealth of the heavens, like the pleasant scenery of the medicine garden in the three months of summer. Like wild animals, the lives of sentient beings who rely on constant consciousness are like hunters who are difficult to see in the valley. The messengers of Yama, the Lord of Death, holding sticks, from the time of birth, are tightly bound by the net of death. Bound by various methods, including kings, fire, thieves, beasts, weapons, poison, cliffs, severe infectious diseases, landslides, curses, flesh-eating ghosts, dakinis, ghost压床 and other powerful demons, as well as sudden disaster messengers, those who are proficient in weapons take the lives of sentient beings day and night, and only think about this matter in their hearts. This huge harm exists invisibly like a constant wheel, so death is approaching day and night. It is also said in the Sutra of Admonishing the King: Great King, for example, a lion enters a herd of beasts, grabs a beast, and dominates it as he pleases. The beast is powerless to resist because of its great power and can only be manipulated by it. Great King, in the same way, the sword of the Lord of Death pierces the body, causing people to lose strength, without protectors, without refuge, without relatives and friends, the joints are separated, the flesh and blood are withered, the body is tortured by disease, thirsty, the face changes, the hands and feet tremble, unable to stand, without strength, saliva, snot, urine, and vomit are all over the body, the functions of the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind are blocked, hiccups are incessant, making rough noises, doctors also give up treatment, medicine and food
