The state of becoming such is stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Because of abandoning the defilement of laxity and diligence, it is called the stainless, pure land." And in the Garland of Jewels: "By its ripening, one becomes the supreme morality perfection, possessing the glorious seven precious jewels, and becomes a wheel-turning king who benefits beings." Therefore, the lax morality and the defilement of diligence are completely purified, and one instantly obtains the twelve thousand qualities mentioned earlier, and is able to obtain the rebirth of a wheel-turning king who rules the four continents. The third ground, the light-maker, which is the medium of the small, is the perfection of patience. As stated in the Ornament: "Because it makes the great light of Dharma, it is therefore called the light-maker." And in the Garland of Jewels: "By its ripening, one increasingly practices patience and diligence, becomes a powerful and wise god, and is able to restrain the desire for desire." This means that because the great light of Dharma or the light of wisdom and peace arises, it is able to generate meditation and clairvoyance, possesses twelve hundred thousand qualities, and has the ability to obtain the rebirth of the god Indra, the lord of the gods. The small of the great, the fourth ground, the radiant, is the perfection of diligence. As stated in the Ornament: "Thus, the Dharma corresponding to the aspects of enlightenment is extremely capable of burning like light. Because it possesses that, this ground is radiant because it burns the two." And in the Garland of Jewels: "By its ripening, one cuts off the extremes and becomes a god-king, greatly generating the view of the perishable aggregate, and is a wise one who completely destroys everything." This means that because the light of correct wisdom is sharp like burning, it is called radiant, and one is able to obtain twelve billion qualities like the previous ones, and obtains the rebirth of the king of the Yama gods. The fifth ground, the difficult to train, which is the small of the medium, is the perfection of meditation. As stated in the Ornament: "It completely ripens all sentient beings, and also protects one's own mind. The wise ones say it is difficult to train, therefore it is said to be difficult to train." And in the Garland: "By its ripening, one becomes the god-king of the Joyful Heaven." This means that protecting the mind in meditative absorption is difficult for others to overcome. Because the noble ones see it as the truth, it can only be done by understanding the profound and subtle meaning.

The arising of commitment is that one possesses twelve hundred thousand kotis of merits and becomes the king of Tushita. The sixth ground, the intermediate of the intermediate, the Manifest One, is the Perfection of Wisdom. The Ornament says: "Relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, samsara and nirvana, because both manifest here, it is called the Manifest Ground." And the Garland says: "Its maturation is that one becomes the king of the Paranirmitavasavartin gods." Because one clearly inclines towards the Dharma of Buddhahood, and because the merits of obtaining cessation through familiarity with the union of shamatha and vipashyana increase, it is the previous twelve hundred thousand kotis of merits, and one becomes the king of the Paranirmitavasavartin. The seventh ground, the great of the intermediate, the Gone Afar, is the Perfection of Skillful Means. The Ornament says: "Because it is connected with the one path, it is considered the Gone Afar Ground." From what does one go far? From the difficult-to-cross swamp of samsara. The Praise of the Dharmadhatu says: "Having crossed the swamp of the ocean of samsara, therefore it is called Gone Afar." Alternatively, the number of grounds itself becomes distant, therefore it is given the name of entering cessation moment by moment. The Jewel Garland says: "The seventh is the Gone Afar Ground, because it possesses a distant number. Because moment by moment, it enters cessation. Its maturation is that one becomes the lord of the Ishvara gods." That is to say, the difference in merit is twelve hundred thousand kotis of nayutas, and one becomes the king of the Paranirmitavasavartin. The eighth ground, the small of the great, the Immovable, is the Perfection of Strength. The Ornament says: "Because one does not waver from the two concepts, it is considered the Immovable Ground." And the Garland says: "Its maturation is that one becomes Brahma, the lord of a thousand worlds." That is to say, it is the unwavering non-conceptualization. Similarly, all the activities of the three doors are inconceivable. This is because the klesha-obscured manas transforms, thereby gaining control over non-conceptualization, and the clinging of the five sense consciousnesses transforms, thereby gaining control over pure Buddha-fields, and one attains freedom over equality and individual self-awareness wisdom. Buddhas equal to the dust particles of one million kotis of great thousand worlds
