In order to demonstrate taming, it is not rude; in order to demonstrate the taming of all three vehicles, it is good at taming; in order to be an antidote to distraction, it is pleasing to the ear; in order to generate samadhi, it calms the body; in order to generate the great joy of vipassana, it calms the mind; in order to cut off doubt, it makes the heart rejoice; in order to eliminate falsehood and uncertainty, it generates joy and happiness; in order to have no regret in practice, it is completely without suffering; because it is the basis of the perfection arising from hearing, it is to be fully known; because it is the basis of the perfection of wisdom arising from thought, it is to be distinguished; because the teacher teaches the Dharma without concealment, it is extremely clear; because it makes those who have attained their own benefit extremely happy, it is to make happy; because those who have not attained their own benefit should be happy, it is to make manifest joy; because it truly shows the inconceivable Dharma, it is omniscient; because it truly shows the inconceivable Dharma, it is to be distinguished; because it does not contradict valid cognition, it is reason; because it shows sentient beings as they should be, it is related; because it does not speak meaningless words, it has no fault of repetition; because it frightens all non-Buddhists, it is the power of the lion's roar; because the speech is vast, it is the sound of an elephant; because it is profound, it is the sound of a dragon; because it is worthy of being held, it is the sound of a vidyadhara; because it is extremely pleasant to the ear, it is the song of a gandharva; because it is sharp and non-dual, it is the sound of a kalavinka; because it is heard far away, it is the sound of Brahma; because it is the forerunner of all accomplishments, it is the sound of a jivamjivaka bird; because it cannot be surpassed, it is as pleasant as the voice of Indra; because it is the forerunner of completely overcoming all demons and opponents, it is the sound of a drum; because praise does not generate afflictions, it is not arrogant; because disparagement does not discourage, it is
