Thus, the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-s, have abandoned all faults, having abandoned the afflictions through what is abandoned by seeing and what is abandoned by meditation, and having abandoned all cognitive obscurations. Furthermore, in another way, since they are well abandoned, abandoned without return, and abandoned without remainder, they possess the qualities of the three abandonments. As the Lord of Knowledge said: "Having abandoned the cause, three qualities, Sugata." And so on, as explained extensively. From the aspect of complete qualities, there are the five eyes, the six superknowledges, the ten powers, the gates of dharani, the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the four specific knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and so on. Among these five eyes, what is included in the Buddha-ground is the eye of all-knowing. The corresponding one exists from the eighth ground onwards. The Dharma eye directly realizes all noble individuals with sharp or dull faculties. The wisdom eye directly sees the meaning of all phenomena being empty of their own nature. The divine eye knows the passing away and birth of beings as they are. The flesh eye directly sees all subtle and coarse forms from a hundred yojanas up to three thousand great thousands of worlds. Among the six superknowledges, the superknowledge of miraculous power is moving the earth, transforming into one, manifesting into many, and so on. The superknowledge of the divine ear is knowing all the great and small sounds of all world realms as they are. The superknowledge of knowing others' minds is directly ascertaining whether others' minds are separated from afflictions or not. The superknowledge of remembering past lives is knowing hundreds of thousands of past lives of oneself and others. The superknowledge of the divine eye is directly knowing all subtle and coarse forms of kalpas and non-kalpas. The superknowledge of the exhaustion of defilements is directly knowing the method of abandoning the two obscurations and the liberation of abandonment. These are obtained by relying on the four concentrations, in the manner of establishing mutual cause and effect, as stated in the Abhidharmasamuccaya: "Whether it is an outsider, a Hearer, or a Bodhisattva, by relying on the four concentrations, they will manifest the immeasurable ones."

Likewise, the five kinds of direct perception of the immeasurable are also the same. Thus it is said. The ten powers are: Although wishing to live until the end of the kalpa, being able to abide, one has power over life; having obtained power over countless samadhi doors, one has power over mind; having attained the inexhaustible nature of the treasury of space, one has power over resources; having attained power to show the fruits of actions in places of craftsmanship and art, one has power over actions; being able to be born in any place one desires, one has power over birth; being able to show all realms of the world filled with the body of the Buddha, one has power over aspirations; being able to emanate great Bodhi manifestations, one has power over vows; being able to simultaneously show various different miracles to various kinds of beings to be tamed, one has power over miracles; knowing all knowable things without beginning, one has power over wisdom; being proficient in all the words and meanings of the Dharma, one has power over Dharma. These ten powers are the special qualities of Bodhisattvas of the three pure grounds, as explained in the Sutra of the Cloud of Dharma and others. The doors of Dharani are of various kinds, and their nature is as stated by the noble Manjushri: What is called Dharani is not losing mindfulness, not being distracted by thoughts, not being foolish in intelligence, manifesting wisdom, knowing the words of all Dharmas to be extremely different, and so on, extensively taught. The ten powers are: Chandrakirti said: The power of knowing what is and is not the place, Likewise, the wisdom of the ripening of actions, Comprehending various inclinations, The power of knowing various realms, Likewise, the supreme and non-supreme powers, The power of knowledge and going everywhere, Dhyana, liberation, samadhi, And the power of knowing equanimity and so on, The power of knowing past lives, Likewise, the wisdom of death, transmigration, and birth, The power of knowing the exhaustion of all defilements, These are the ten powers. Having briefly explained thus, the distinction of its nature is: From what cause what is definitely born as a result, That is its place, so the wise ones say. The opposite of what is said is not the place, the knowable is limitless, The knower is unhindered and relinquished, that is said to be power. The meaning explained by these and others is thus: good and non-good.
