Having unloaded the burden placed on the shoulders, I prostrate to the two feet of the king. Next, I will recount the virtues of the Blessed One's teachings: Merit cannot be burned by fire, nor can it be shaken by the wind. Merit cannot be soaked by water, nor can it be carried away like earth. Neither king nor thieves can steal merit. Neither men nor women can take it away. Merit is a treasure that generates happiness; it will not be left behind here, but will follow wherever one is born. Thus it is said. Therefore, merely regarding merit with respect is not aimed at temporary happiness, but rather at generating a vast mental strength to devote oneself to the Dharma. The armor of devotion to the Dharma is extremely strong. The profound and vast realm of Dharma is like a great ocean. Whether or not one possesses the wisdom to draw a bow, one must entrust everything to the power of steadfast courage. In this way, one will not stray from the path, but will walk upon the six perfections. Our teacher also, in order to generate the mind of enlightenment on the great path of Bodhi, accumulated merit for countless eons, practiced diligently, and thus reached the other shore of supreme wisdom, finally attaining enlightenment and becoming the protector of all sentient beings. We too, in order to achieve this state, no matter what suffering or happiness, good or bad circumstances may arise, even if death approaches, even if we encounter savages or wild animals, we must, like a merchant who does not fear dangerous lands, or a captain who enters the sea, not be defeated by adversity, but put on the armor of courage. Whether it is the Dharma as deep as the ocean or the Dharma as vast as the sky, we must cut off the shrinking mind towards both, and all the faults of inferior conduct. For example, the bow of the lord of the gods, even the giants of the four continents cannot draw it, so we must cut off the discouragement that arises from thinking we are incapable, and rely on the strength of courage. For example, the captain Slongden, wanting to drain the ocean for the sake of obtaining jewels, persevered in scooping water with his hands and pouring it out, his steadfast courage even frightened the dragons in the sea, who then offered him jewels. Such a person is one who has reached the other shore.

It is the path that does not walk on the six perfections. Its concordant side is the seven branches, and all accumulation and purification such as water torma. The discordant side does not trample on it, and walking on the path relies on merit. This is the path platform of a great person. So the six perfections are the main road of the Great Vehicle, and for going to a certain direction, it is also like food and drink, and methods of restoring vitality, and various rituals to protect against the harm of enemies and thieves. Here, the branches of meritorious activities are taking refuge and, the seven branches and, the mandala and, water torma, etc., must manifest great accumulation and purification. Then, may a mind to accumulate merit arise, and believe that the fruit of merit is not deceptive, then even the afflictions of wealth and enjoyment have a human body as a basis, and from its gathering, here in Tibet, relying only on pure water, the merit of making offerings and generosity to pure fields with a vast mind is enough, because in India and other places, the ground temperature increases, and only turbid water is available, and it is not possible to find any pure water. Therefore, do not be attached to objects and utensils, but be attached to one's own faith and diligence, and if this is seen as a defect, then generate rejoicing in the virtues of others and, make offerings with ownerless flowers and, fruits, etc., and offer offerings by employing the body and, plant flowers and, monastery gardens, and sprinkle water on fish that are damaged in dry places and, ponds and, vines, etc., become places of harm, and give fearless giving to small creatures who are shocked and frightened by the fear of death, and in the tantra it says: Om Jñana Avalokite Namaḥ Samanta (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཛྙཱ་ན་ཨ་བ་ལོ་ཀི་ཏེ་ན་མཿས་མནྟ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ ज्ञान अवलोकिते नमः समन्त, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ jñāna avalokite namaḥ samanta, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, wisdom, Avalokiteshvara, homage, universal.), Sparaṇa Raśmi Bhava Samaya Mahā Maṇi Duru Duru Hṛdaya Jvāla Ni Hūṃ (Tibetan: སྥ་ར་ཎ་རསྨི་བྷ་བ་ས་མ་ཡ། མ་ཧཱ་མ་ཎི། དུ་རུ་དུ་རུ། ཧྲྀ་ད་ཡ་ཛྭ་ལ་ནི་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्फरण रश्मि भव समय महा मणि दुरु दुरु हृदयह् ज्वाला नि हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: spharaṇa raśmi bhava samaya mahā maṇi duru duru hṛdaya jvāla ni hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Emit, rays, become, vow, great, jewel, duru, duru, heart, flame, ni, hum.). Sitting by a waterfall or the sea, fill the palm of the right hand with water, recite this essence of the wisdom meteor seven times, and pour seven handfuls of water into the waterfall, then how many hungry ghosts are seen by the Buddha's wisdom eye, all of them will obtain the taste of the food of the gods and, the supreme taste of drink,
