From its own place, removing the decay completely, the repair will be accomplished. If you create evil, then everything will be blocked. If you generate virtue and merit, then it will be allowed. Permission and prohibition do not reside on the path of words, but are accomplished in relation to the continuum of the individual. The six perfections and the two accumulations, generating the unarisen qualities, increasing the arisen ones, are the ethics of accumulating virtue and gathering Dharma, encompassed by the training of the mind. The virtue embraced by love and compassion is the giving that benefits sentient beings wherever it is done. In this, there is no desire for self-interest, which is ethics. Without weariness in benefiting others, that is patience. Especially entering with joy, that is diligence. Focusing single-mindedly on the benefit of sentient beings, that is meditation. Abandoning attachment to reality and names, that is wisdom. The six perfections are never separate. In all four postures, be mindful and aware. The accumulation of virtue that completely purifies the field of action, the habitual movements are also the path of the six perfections. Entering effortlessly, the accumulation is completed very quickly. With skillful means, whether directly or indirectly, strive to benefit all sentient beings, giving and kind speech, beneficial action and consistency, are the wide gateways of the ethics of accumulating virtue and gathering Dharma. The six examinations that are spoken of therein are for examining whether one's own Dharma is flourishing or declining. Benefit others without losing one's own path of Dharma, examine the mistakes of ordinary beings who are ruined for their own benefit. If benefiting others can accomplish great things, then there are times when small precepts are allowed to be relaxed. For example, if going to a city, then one can go to a town, giving up land for oneself, and giving up oneself for the Dharma. In this world of endurance, the fragrance of the Dharma increases, which is to be greatly protected. Enduring hardships, why not rejoice in patience? Not fearing the profound meaning, there are three forms. Making the mind extremely rigid, that is the manifestation of the sin of hatred, with vines of darkness. Those who fear falling into the hell of no liberation, never give an opportunity for anger. The object of harm is like thorns in the forest, difficult to tame and constantly growing. If one tames the creator of hatred and resentment, then the asceticism of patience will become friendly to me. The arrow of words with extremely rough touch, pierces the heart of beings, could it be? By taking up the cause of gladly accepting them, mutually depen

I suffer, disturbed by reliance, Here, the causes and effects of harm are endless. Like sound and echo arising from oneself, If not from oneself, harm has no place. Look to the causes summoned by one's past actions. If examined, it is not a great harm but a great benefit, For relying on it, the ship of patience, The jewel of bodhichitta, will be attained. Such harm is revered like the sacred Dharma. If examined very closely, the nature of harm Has no characteristics, like a drawing on water. The moment conceptual thoughts, anger, and harshness cease, It is empty like space, without gain or loss. Why? If the three austerities of patience decline, The other five perfections, such as generosity, Are like a path surrounded by enemies on the outside. It is difficult to reach the desired place; increase your intelligence. With diligence that does not delay, In one's own power, all virtuous Dharmas, Like geese walking in a pleasure garden, Enter without being abandoned to the cliff of laziness. Entangled in the ropes of bad actions and attachment to busyness, Subdued by the power of laziness, one's ability is also abandoned. Despising oneself, one takes on a humble asceticism. Such a person rides on the ship of faults. The diligence of armor that subdues the four maras, The diligence of application that travels the path of the ten bhumis, One who is fearless, unyielding, and without contentment, Accomplishes all the wishes of aspiration. My life has reached the end of the day, The darkness of death approaches quickly. If the actions of samsara are like stars, Their numbers are many, but they do not exhale. The diligence that clears away the turbidity of laziness, Is not a slow-flowing, biased display, Until one reaches the ocean of all-knowing wisdom, Do not abandon the asceticism that is swift and agile. The medicinal land where forests and flowers abound, Is frequented by swans in great tranquility, Beautiful to behold, the cliffs of rocky mountains, Are adorned by young horses and deer. The joyful forest, the girdle of the goddess, When the half-net of young cottonwood trees sways, The cuckoos, not frightened by suspicion, Distribute letters of weariness with samsara. Go there, you who desire meditation, In the inner strength of the cloud-like canopy of enjoyment, The essence of life.
