Especially, the unsurpassed Tögal is less prone to error because of directly seeing the clarity of awareness. The external appearances of earth, stones, mountains, rocks, and lands, with their coarse and exhausted impurities of the great elements, become the path of clear and luminous wisdom. By manifesting the inner arising Trekchö, which even the smallest particles cannot surpass in clarity, it transforms into the great transference Vajra Body, working for the benefit of others until samsara is empty. Therefore, the key instruction is to clearly distinguish the characteristics of one's own school, whose view, meditation, conduct, and result are all imbued with exceptional qualities through intellectual analysis. Although this is so, until the adventitious condition of self-grasping subsides in the expanse of pure Dharmadhatu, the conceptual thoughts that deceive through adventitious conditions ultimately become the masters of samsara, obscuring those with initial karma. Śamatha (calm abiding) and vipaśyanā (insight) have two ways of being taught: as being of the same essence and as being distinct. In the first approach, dhyana (meditation) focuses on the aspect of abiding, and prajñā (wisdom) focuses on the aspect of clarity, uniting śamatha and vipaśyanā, and resting in the non-dual meaning free from extremes. In the second approach, there are also two divisions: arising from wisdom and arising from key instructions. Arising from wisdom, one aligns with the sound, focusing single-pointedly on the meaning of what is heard in śamatha, and from that, understanding the meaning is the characteristic of vipaśyanā. Arising from key instructions, one follows the meaning, where the mind is unwavering in śamatha, and its nature of knowing is vipaśyanā. In short, the superior transforms bad thoughts into Dharmakaya. If good and bad are equal, there is no need to apply antidotes. The intermediate, through familiarizing oneself with the path of co-emergent purity, causes all good and bad thoughts to dissolve into the expanse. The inferior initially seeks only śamatha. Once stability is attained in whatever is focused upon, and one becomes accustomed to individually examining the wisdom of vipaśyanā, eventually, like finding no earth or stones on the Golden Isle, whatever thoughts, whether mental or cognitive, arise, appearance and mind are inseparable, manifesting as great primordial liberation. In terms of skillful means, whatever thoughts arise, there is no need to reject or create anything. If one does not follow after them and does not waver from the natural state, one will attain all the qualities of purified senses, such as the divine eye, clairvoyance, and so forth. If thoughts are connected to objects, they are ordinary. In the wisdom that is clear like a mirror, the objects of appearance are unceasing, shining like stars, yet they are not stained by conceptual mind.

If transformed, the object of grasping and the grasping mind cease to be related, and the self-aware, non-conceptual wisdom now reaches the state of the supreme guru. In short, the path of space is the single nature of reality, the path of awareness is distinguished by wisdom, the path of clear light is the two lamps, the path of trekchö is the simultaneous arising and liberation, and the path of tögal is space and awareness. Knowing these five uncommon paths of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, with ignorance as a companion and the deception of delusion, in the terrifying wilderness hermitages of endless samsara, with the iron chains of karma, afflictions, and formations, from today onward, generate a mind of weariness with bondage, and having generated it, approach the supreme path of nirvana in the peaceful, sacred city. From the "Treasury of Qualities, the Rain of Joy," the chapter on explaining the uncommon paths of the Great Perfection of Naturalness, the twelfth chapter is complete. Chapter Thirteen Thus, having well understood the basis, path, and characteristics, the ultimate fruit is the body and wisdom, which do not come from elsewhere, the impurities of the alaya are purified, and the mind and mental events are the peace of the dharmadhatu. Wherever the appearances of the basis arise from the basis, the habitual tendencies of self-grasping, the grasping of aspects of knowable objects, the eight consciousnesses and appropriation, which are like clouds, are the sun of completely pure wisdom, shining with unobstructed, natural light. Having abandoned the adventitious stains along with their parts, it is the supreme essence of enlightenment, possessing two purities. The realm of the primordial Buddha, without aspiration, is like the full moon, clearly manifest outward. Just as the part of emptiness merges into space, it is always non-conceptual, and the nature of reality is unchanging. The unchanging vajra body of the realm, the supreme peaceful realm possessing all aspects. Although the ocean of qualities such as strength is fully realized, the appearing aspect is not mixed with the essence, and the manifest enlightenment body is measured from the part of abandonment and realization. The activity of the mind ceases in the realm of knowable objects, and the conventional truth of grasping in the knowing mind is abandoned. The self-aware, self-cognizance does not fall into the extremes of permanence or annihilation, and when merging, it is not obscured. The subtle wisdom is the basis of the body and wisdom, with unobstructed knowledge. It is seen by those who are in perfect equipoise. That which is peaceful is called the Dharmakaya. The self-aware, self-cognizant awareness is the realm of the victors, which is neither one nor many.
