The Treasury of Merit, Joyful Rain. The Treasury of Merit, Joyful Rain. Chapter One. A treatise called "The Treasury of Merit, Joyful Rain." In Sanskrit: गुणाकोशरत्नप्रमोदपृष्टिनाम (guṇa-kośa-ratna-pramoda-pṛṣṭi-nāma, Merit-Treasury-Jewel-Joy-Rain-Name). In Tibetan: A treatise called "The Treasury of Merit, Joyful Rain." Homage to the Three Jewels! With the letter of fame of the three jewels, after making the creeper of mani jewels extremely joyful, the faces of the demonesses are like groves of kunda flowers, the power of the Buddha manifests in the face of those who do evil. A treasure that purifies the qualities of the supreme minds, if one masters it, it is like waves of spontaneous springs, although this clamorous speech does not boast of beauty, it is worthy to be listened to in order to expound the sacred Dharma. From beginningless time, afflicted by the epidemic of birth, old age, sickness, and death, possessing the great medicine of nectar, how should I admonish those who abandon the sacred Dharma? For a long time, familiar in the wilderness of samsara, suffering from being beheaded and dismembered, those who will suffer and be hidden in the future, still crave heavenly bliss and are ignorant. This ignorance will fall again from here, wandering in the three lower realms and the gods without perception, borderland with incomplete faculties, wrong views, places where Buddhas do not appear. A brief moment of leisure is not for seeking a place of iron burning, with the cruelty of weapons repeatedly killing, hell beings who cannot be killed, still entangled in the net of angry evil deeds. What need is there to say about the poverty and suffering of pretas who cannot even find pus, blood, or feces? Rivers and trees wither at a glance, the suffering of inner burning knows no end. Due to the power of obscurations, the lifespan is uncertain. Animals eat each other, the hunter's cruel bonds take life, and what is the use of being born in a place where they are tamed for use and suffer from being whipped? Extending livelihood with extremely long tasks, not distinguishing opportunities for sorrow, formless realms and gods without perception whose hearing, thought, and practice are stagnant, at the time of death, there is no leisure to look with wrong views. Even if relying heavily on two-legged livestock, because its consciousness is not meritorious, the barbarians who are bound and ruled, their acceptance and rejection are extremely chaotic.

Wandering in the forest. Those fools who have lost the vows of the senses, Even if they meet the guide of the noble ones, Like the clamor caught by the echo of a rock. Sorrow in the vast rural monastery where communication is impossible. Having obtained the great ship to cross the ocean of samsara, After waving the banner of awareness again, They are not pleased with the coming of the Buddhas, Holding wrong views, tormented by demons. Falling into the kalpa abandoned by the conquerors, Into the dark abyss, again, Even if striving to rise, it is still the wrong path, In a miserable fall, going further and further down. In the land where the winds of sin and suffering rage, Tired and frightened, with turbid merit, The eight unfree ones who are jealous of the Dharma, Thinking about it, make your leisure meaningful. In the pure land of the central region, endowed with senses, Limbs complete, generate faith in the object of faith, The end of the flower of karma, not destroyed by sin, Becoming a human being, the wish-fulfilling tree is extremely rare. The victorious Udumbara flower comes into the world, Opening the garden of the flower of Dharma, Abiding without decay, and entering correctly, Relying on the shade of the holy ones is even rarer. Because of the tree that one possesses, And the Udumbara flower possessed by the influence of others, Both possess the ten perfections of qualities, Hugging these eight leisures tightly, one will not obtain them again. Why is it said to be like the tortoise's Neck and the yoke analogy? The number is like that of humans and animals, day and night, The number of pretas and, The hell beings will gradually understand. Therefore, when seizing the great ship of leisure, If one does not cross the ocean of suffering, Then, as a guest on the path of Dharma, striving and seeking opportunities, Listening will tend to be fruitless. From the "Treasury of Qualities, Rain of Joy," the chapter distinguishing leisure and endowment, which is the first chapter. Chapter Two The four of samsara: stability and change, formation, abiding, destruction, emptiness, With its nature as the time scale of a kalpa, Reduced to the realm of destruction, belittled by name, At the time of annihilation, seven suns and one flood will appear. The teacher of gods and humans, the supreme Vajra body, For those who regard it as eternal, overlooking, The service that is free from shaking and crumbling becomes lax, In the peaceful realm of Dharma, displaying the realization of joy. After the accomplishment of meditation
