And just because of that, if one rejoices even in hanging the banner of ignorance, then obtaining the status of a Bodhisattva is only for today. Even the gods will come to help in raising the creeper of joy. This is the nectar that destroys the Lord of Death, an inexhaustible treasure, wealth that eliminates poverty, and medicine that pacifies diseases. For the sake of a resting place for weary travelers on the path of existence, I, from today, have become a necessity for beings. From the "Treasure of Qualities, Rain of Joy," the chapter on fully upholding the mind of enlightenment, the eighth chapter is complete.

If the time is lost, regret only increases; Before dawn, call upon the essence of space; With the seven-branch offering, restore the downfalls; Truly transferring my own happiness to others; Bearing others' suffering as my own burden; Practicing giving and taking, this wondrous courage; Until enlightenment, never separating, constantly praying. The four immeasurable vows' teachings: From acknowledging kindness, love arises; From love, compassion; from compassion, the mind of enlightenment; Arising through the valid reasoning of a qualified individual. Like a newborn infant, so impure; The mother embraces, like a bathhouse; Touching all impurities with her hands; Nourishing with milk, warming with her body's touch. Preferring her own death to the child's; Able to endure all sins, sufferings, and harsh words; If one forgets this kindness and service; What ritual is more perverse than this? This earth with its mountains is not my burden; Ingratitude is a heavy, poisonous burden; Like a person who has swallowed poison. Therefore, all limitless sentient beings; Have been mothers, bestowing kindness, this supreme grace; Remembering this kindness, may the four loves increase; To those who know and repay kindness; Offerings should be made with excellent wealth. May the aspiration mind be like the new autumn moon; Eliminating the adverse conditions obscured by Rahu's face; The four black dharmas should be abandoned far away. Deceiving those worthy of offerings, towards others' merit; Generating doubt, and placing it in the realm of regret; Slandering the holy ones, proclaiming unpleasant words; Practicing deceit and trickery, deceiving others; Violating any of the four dharmas, losing the aspiration mind; If one fails to confess and remedy, the time is lost; In an instant, the mind of enlightenment is lost. The great antidote is the four white dharmas: Even at the cost of life, do not intentionally lie; Respectfully praise the sons of the Buddhas; With a mind free of deceit, care for all sentient beings; Leading all beings onto the path of enlightenment. Through the gate of stability, guarding the four mindfulnesses: Seeing the virtuous friend as the Buddha; Seeing the Dharma taught by them as the path; Seeing those who practice it as spiritual friends; Seeing all sentient beings as one's only child; These are the true teachings of aspiration. The discipline of entering the path, furthermore

Among the six perfections, the first five are the accumulation of supreme merit, and the last one is the great accumulation of wisdom. Without relying on these two, there is no Buddha. Adding skillful means, power, aspiration, and wisdom makes ten. Intelligence, strength, and power are the three sons of the king who accomplish. Those who first seek their own benefit and then desire to liberate beings have the great aspiration of a king-like mind. Those who desire to liberate themselves and beings simultaneously have the supreme wisdom mind like a boatman. Those who first liberate beings and then desire peace have the unparalleled aspiration of a shepherd-like mind. Dull individuals are liberated in countless thirty-three kalpas, intermediate individuals in seven kalpas, and sharp individuals in three kalpas. The essence of generosity is non-attachment. It is divided into three: Dharma, material, and fearlessness. Material generosity also has three aspects: giving, great giving, and extreme giving. Giving is the act of giving food, clothing, vehicles, elephants, land, and realms to others. Great giving is the giving of sons, daughters, and family. Extreme giving is the giving of one's head and limbs, which is difficult to do. In this, those who are initially made accustomed, the hands of those bound by miserliness, the thought of giving from one to another, repeatedly moving, to vegetables and so on, greed and attachment are destroyed and transformed into strength for practice. Fearless giving is protecting the lives of others, rescuing them from fearful situations, and providing a place to breathe. Giving that is done without ability, with rash rituals, and fabricated is also criticized. When the thought of compassion is not very pure, giving away one's body and life is prohibited in the Compendium of Trainings. Giving that is created without having heard of it is also a place of non-virtue and criticism. Abandoning attachment to possessions is established as the measure of generosity. Dharma giving is truly different from three types. It is difficult to instruct according to how one practices with faith. Through rituals that eliminate one's own afflictions, loving-kindness and compassion, and reciting scriptures, liberate the continuum of the white Dharma side and establish aspirations. After liberating one's own continuum, accord with the faculties and nature of beings, and prioritize the benefit of others. The essence of ethics is dissimilar discipline. It is divided into abandoning misdeeds and gathering virtuous Dharmas. Acting for the benefit of sentient beings is explained in three ways. Guarding the three doors from non-virtue is the discipline of abandoning misdeeds. Possessing the six perfections is the gathering of virtuous Dharmas.
