When the mind, like a wild horse, separates the collection called "mind," which carries the power of awareness with the wind, and the awareness merges into the awareness of the heart, like a tumbler. When all the elements of wind disappear and exit from the mouth and nose through the black and white paths, and when it leaves without knowing how to return, it is called the separation of mind and wisdom, which is death. At that time, one should benefit him with the three precious oral instructions of the profound Great Tantra, the Union of Sun and Moon: Connect the three nostrils of the person who has lost consciousness with one's own mouth and two nostrils, and blow three breaths. When blowing the first breath, visualize the white Om When blowing the second breath, visualize the red Ah When blowing the third breath, blow from emptiness. When gathering everything back, in the form of a blue Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), direct his consciousness towards the object of focus, and at the same time, (419) also recite Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) in the mouth, pulling with the force of touching the genitals below the navel, which can sometimes cause the other person to open their eyes wide. Indicate with the combination of the lamp thumb: Hey, fortunate one, this is your inherent luminosity. When separated from the body, since there is no obscuration of the three doors, the sound, light, and rays of the Bardo of Dharmata appear in a vast form, and it does not go beyond your own appearance. Recognize it! This naked awareness right now is the place of liberation, do not change its state! Do you see that appearance? Do you understand that oral instruction? Saying this, making a sound or gesturing will also help. If there are signs of clear consciousness, or if the senses are slightly active, put a thin tube or paper tube to the ear and say: Son of the lineage, do not be attached to anything! Since you are separated from the body of flesh and blood (420), there is no need to be afraid of the sound, light, and rays of the Bardo of Dharmata. Recognize that self-appearance is without self-nature, and seize the stronghold! If you cannot calm down, remember the Pure Land of Sukhavati, generate faith, and go there! There is no doubt that you will meet Buddha Amitabha! Say this in a pleasant voice. This, spoken from the moment of grasping the beginning of the dissolution process, will also become very good. These are special points called "thorough shaking." Furthermore, in the Union of Sun and Moon Tantra, it says: That person breath

If I do not leave, then with the letters accompanied by breath, abide and practice without doubt. Because for the vast majority of beings who have not seen the door of this Dharma, in order to clarify the certainty of their place of birth through actions, functions, signs, etc., therefore, from striving to guide them from higher to higher, until the breath dissipates and the consciousness has not yet left, do this: Visualize a white A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) in his heart. Direct your (421) mouth to the crown of his head, and recite the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) sound corresponding to his age, in accordance with the slow exhalation. When the breath suddenly stops or has just stopped, recite twenty-one A's (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), and the vapor will gush out, so that even a sinner can be guided to the heavens, and those who are destined for happy migrations will be guided to higher realms. If he has signs of being born in hell, in order to prevent it from being extinguished like a butter lamp, when the breath is cut off, his consciousness clearly appears in his heart, and along with reciting the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), it dissolves into the five lights, mixes with one's own mind, and abides in equanimity. If the guide has the highest realization, because his consciousness naturally exists in the clear light, and the truth of Dharma-nature is encountered, thereby being guided, this is a special characteristic of this King of Vehicles. At these times, just as when a king (422) sits on the throne, a minister moves a boulder, the blood of the body gathers in the life-vein. Three drops of blood fall, and the breath also finally ceases in three stages of long and short forms, the outer breath. The breath merges into consciousness, and for a moment, consciousness faints in the center of the heart, losing memory, this is the time when the inner breath ceases. As it says in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": Thereafter, the blood of the body gathers, and blood drops fall within the life-vein. The mouth and eyes turn gray, and the breath ceases to about one cubit. Thereafter, two drops of blood fall, the head bends, and the breath ceases to about one arrow-length. Thereafter, three drops of blood fall, with an "ugh" sound, the breath ceases to about one fathom. Thereafter, the outer breath ceases, and consciousness faints and stops in the center of the heart. Thereafter, the inner breath ceases, and the Bardo of Dharma-nature arises. So it is said. Third, the Bardo of Dharma-nature (423) is the appearance of the clear light of one's own perception, arising from clinging to the aggregates as self.
