It should be understood in this way. It is not like making the inside and the outside the same, but it should be understood as that (phenomena) appears from that (wisdom), with a distinction between inside and outside. Thus it is said. Having understood in this way, within the lamp of the pure realm of reality, from the pure part of the wind of karma arises the lamp of the empty essence of bindu, symbolized by the form of throwing a stone into still water, appearing as having a surrounding of five-colored light of round bindus, and so forth. There, by restraining with the method of observing from afar and near (359), experiencing an inner awareness that is extremely clear and without an object, that is the nature of the self-arisen lamp of wisdom. From that arises the sharpness and swiftness of wisdom that knows objects, and the appearance of words and meanings bursting forth like a spring, that is its function. Furthermore, from that arises the awareness of superior seeing, appearing like a vajra rosary, strung with pearls, or like a golden thread floating, that is called the radiance of wisdom. It is necessary to recognize that the essence is one, but distinguished by three different aspects. If these are not distinguished, the Omniscient One (Longchenpa) said, "Sometimes awareness is called the self-arisen lamp of wisdom, sometimes it is called inner radiance, and sometimes it is called a rosary, which only leads to confusion." Thus it is said. Therefore, meditating by placing the seen radiance of awareness, the vajra rosary, within the confines of the realm of reality and the bindu, that is the key point of awareness. As it is said in "Vast Expanse of Clarity": "The key point of awareness is to imprison the rosary, the appearance of phenomena naturally depends on it." Thus it is said. At these times, if one loses the analysis that distinguishes the details of the appearance of light (360), the rosary will be mistaken for something real, which will cause obstacles and bondage. One should train in the conduct of non-attachment, like the appearance of a lamp, with self-nature self-illuminating. And, before one is accustomed to it, it will appear flickering like a mirage, and by gradually guiding it with the method of observation, one will become accustomed to it. In this way, the more the inner channels and elements become clear and powerful as light, the more the realm of reality and awareness will mature and separate from limitations, the less one will depend on external conditions, and the experience of the four appearances will gradually increase. This is seen with the eye of a bubble, therefore it must be led to the place of exhaustion. If one sees with the eye of wisdom, one will transcend the limitations of sequence and exhaust it simultaneously, because the differences of beings are inconceivable. However, in whichever of the two

Moreover, for some who have good roots of ignorance, there are uncertain ways of appearing. Do not boast that this is the sign of the path. Because merely due to the factors of heat and moisture (361), there are cases where grains ripen too early and turn into gravel. Therefore, it is important to cherish grasping only through reliable basis and oral instructions. The third part has two aspects: entering the great mandala of self-appearing wisdom, and bestowing the empowerment of the power of awareness on the ground of reality. The first is: At the summit of a mountain or a very secluded place that holds manifest appearances, when the place and time are perfectly complete, offer with a feast gathering and torma. Offer a golden mandala to the lama and supplicate: Lama Vajradhara, great master, in order to liberate from samsara, the secret path of Vajrasattva, please bestow the empowerment of the power of awareness. Supplicate in this way three times. As a symbol that all the master and disciples are free from the obscurations of the clear light appearance, remove the upper body coverings. Visualize a blue Tibetan letter "ཨ" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A) at the heart of the lama, look at it without blinking, and keep the mind undistracted (362). At the end of the master bestowing blessings with the sound of the damaru, when there is no mental fabrication, the lama utters a fierce "ཕཊ" (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phat). Immediately after that, say three times quickly, "What is the mind?" When the disciple blurts out an unprepared "ཧ་ཕྱད" (Tibetan: ཧ་ཕྱད, Sanskrit Devanagari: हफट, Sanskrit Romanization: ha phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ha Phat), the uncorrected awareness dawns clearly, which is called "the great seeing of the unseen," which is bestowing wisdom in the state of Dharmakaya. Then the actual entering is: The disciples sit upright in the posture of a sage. The eyes are placed in space without support, and the realm of self-nature is brought to mind. Ema! Listen, you fortunate only son of mind! In the east is the Abhirati Pure Land, beautiful and delightful, pleasing to the mind. There, there is the Bhagavan Vajra Akshobhya, whose body is blue and adorned with precious ornaments. In the south is the Glorious Pure Land, extremely beautiful and delightful, pleasing to the (363) mind. There, there is the Bhagavan Ratnasambhava, whose body is yellow and adorned with precious ornaments. In the west is the Lotus Arrayed Pure Land, extremely beautiful and delightful, pleasing to the mind. There, there is the Bhagavan A
