Not guarding discipline is patience, not striving is diligence, not thinking is meditation, not focusing is wisdom. Supported by such teachings, it is adornment for the wise and opens the eyes of the foolish. The way to integrate such four aspects of 'leaving it as it is' into the womb is also from the 'Lamp Illuminating': Mountain as it is, is the measure of view. Ocean as it is, is the measure of meditation. Appearance as it is, is the measure of conduct. Awareness as it is, is the measure of result. The yogi who possesses these four measures, blends into the definitive meaning. Thus, by introducing the view as the mountain as it is, the awareness is separated from thought and abides in the vast self-illuminating awareness, without adding any clinging, effort, or intentional antidotes to meditation. By introducing meditation as the ocean as it is, the body sits in vajra posture, the eyes gaze into space, and without creating any clinging to the appearances of the six senses, like the ocean without waves, the awareness is allowed to become clear and lucid. By introducing conduct as the instructions as they are, the three doors are released naturally, and from the confines of view and meditation, the wisdom of primordial awareness is directly and nakedly manifested. By introducing the result as the uncorrected as it is, the five objects are placed in their natural state, and the self-illuminating awareness clearly arises within, binding the five winds into space. Outwardly, the self-appearing pure light of mist, mirages, rainbows, and so on, also appears in accordance with the common secret. In short, since the nature is free from action, the three doors abide in the natural, harmonious, and vast expanse, without any restrictions or limitations. This is the nature of the Great Perfection, the key is to ascertain it with the twelve great vajra laughs and the eight great statements, thereby purifying the eight consciousness aggregates, and carrying the direct awareness, which transcends cause and effect, acceptance and rejection, without change in the three times, onto the path. Even so, my great and kind root guru, the Omniscient Ngakgi Wangpo, said: 'For those great yogis who have reached this nature, there is no cause and effect, good or bad, and it can be directly taught, just like Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, and Tilopa. Although we understand this intellectually, we have not yet reached that level through habituation, so we are not afraid of the nature, but we combine it with caution about subtle karmic results and explain it.'

Therefore, for those of lesser intelligence (340), explaining by differentiating through the two truths will lead to gradual realization. The method is that for those with dull faculties, identify whatever afflictions arise and leave them in their own place, thereby causing the nature of the afflictions to become untraceable and without root, thus practicing the intention of the pure realms and diligently training. For those of great intelligence, by the key of the self-liberation of dharmata, whatever afflictions and conceptual thoughts arise, their nature cannot be sustained, just like a knot in a horse's tail untying itself, they are liberated immediately without the need to suppress them with antidotes again. Do not expand like the Mind Series, nor immerse in the expanse like the Space Series, but remain in the natural state beyond object and thought, and repeatedly practice in the experience of the Instruction Series. Once familiar with this, as it says in the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra, "Unchanged, unpracticed, awareness is spontaneously perfect," awareness does not need to be practiced or traversed, and the ten bhumis of the bodhisattva can be attained on the ground, and there is no need to specifically practice the stages of the path through the diligent practice of the generation and completion stages of outer and inner mantras, because the nature of wisdom is merged into one (341). Second, explaining the path of the Great Perfection Tögal, there are two parts: the way of transcending Trekchö, and the actual path of distinction. The first part is: the Omniscient One considers there to be seven ways of excelling, which will be explained here: Trekchö cannot purify the objects of illusion such as earth, stones, mountains, etc., while the characteristic of Tögal is to divide appearances into five lights, and the awareness is said to be primordially clear light, which is merely the appearance of light from the emptiness of Trekchö, and a decision is made from it. In Tögal, by controlling the key points, the eye of wisdom is opened, so that one can see the rays of dharmata, which is its characteristic. In Trekchö, the doors of the six senses are impure, and one needs to seek purity to abandon attachment to illusion. In Tögal, the door of pure clear light is opened by the wind of wisdom, and the senses that penetrate inside and out can enjoy the appearance of the four lamps in which the expanse and wisdom are inseparable, which is its characteristic. In Trekchö, relying on the coarse channels and winds (342), there are many obstacles and deviations. Moreover, once relying on this, it also depends on the strength of the four elements and the age. But this is to abandon the coarse, and only by binding with the three immovable key points can one grasp the channels and winds of ultimate wisdom.
